Im so fucking pissed off. theres literal thousands of rules in cultures and religions that'll be like "You cannot eat animal. However, you can eat fish, because they're like, not animals." People genuinely have been disregarding fish as living breathing creatures for centuries. "Don't worry, fish dont feel pain anyway" but they do. Just because your anatomy is different does not mean you dont feel pain. Just because you cant cry or brace yourself or claw with your arms does not mean you cant feel pain.

fish recognize themself in the mirror. Fish can recognize you. fish can recognize places and friends. fish have complex social pairings and bonding. Fish can and DO a million things one would consider the most humane trait in any animal. Fish are our elders, they are just as "human" as every other animal on this earth. Thousands of beautiful species have been wiped off the face of the earth simply because people disregard the fact that they're alive. Thousands of species suffer in tiny boxes suffocating until theyre replaced with their siblings when they die alone. Thousands of species are mauled apart by people who cannot care to kill them in a humane way. Thousands of species are mauled by people who could not care to do their hobby the right way.

it is ok to eat fish. It is ok to fish. It is not ok to abuse fish.
