But the whole Seyka-Aloy relationship was really something truly awesome. I loved the chemistry between them and the fact that for the first time Aloy opened up to the idea of being attracted to someone.

And I think it’s because of a few factors

1. She listened to Tilda’s story and realized Elisabet pushed away the only person that truly loved her, because she was so focused on her work she couldn’t be bothered with a relationship. And it was a crack in Elisabet’s character and Aloy realized she is becoming Lis when she’s in fact her own person. And a lot of bad things could be said about Tilda, but she’s genuine when she says she loved Elisabet the most in the entire world and she regrets how things ended.

2. Secondly, she saw everyone move on to create relationships or wanting to. Alva has someone she loves waiting for her at home. Talanah found a man, who made a mistake, but she doesn’t dismiss him right away and is willing to work on that relationship. Varl found a beautiful woman who loved him dearly, Erend decided to be just friends. Kotallo is a great friend, but they’re from two different worlds. And I think that moment Aloy sees Zo kissing Varl she realizes that maybe she could have someone like that too.

3. She learned that having friends, people to care about and people who care about you isn’t a sign of weakness, but it’s actually the opposite. It’s strength, it’s friendship and love. Having family is a good thing not an obstacle.

4. She realized she doesn’t have to push everything and everyone away just because she’s the only person who can fix this world.

She knows people are naturally drawn to her and when she felt being drawn to somebody she decided to just try and be honest not only to Seyka, but to herself, because she doesn’t want to be Elisabet. Sure, she wants to fullfil her wish to make the world a better place, but that doesn’t mean she has to be alone. And she understands it’s gonna be hard but it’s a start.

And holy crap I cried so hard at the end because I am so happy for Aloy. I’m happy she’s opening up and giving herself a chance to have someone close, who could be more than just a friend.

GG did such a great job in portraying the relationship between Aloy and Seyka. Both are totally into each other, but we don’t get fireworks, we get a simple „wow” and it’s the most powerful „wow” I’ve ever seen.

starting from 1) right here like

the weight in vi's gaze. it's not like she looked up and was surprised to see caitlyn watching her. of course she wasn't - she knows by now how much caitlyn cares for her. how couldn't she, after all they've been through? after caitlyn saved her over and over and over again? the heavy understanding that settles between them is just. so much. they both know exactly what they're losing with this goodbye.

2) caitlyn's sad little face :c and 3) her hesitant little pause right before she goes in for the hug. like maybe she realizes that it's wild for her to want vi so desperately after such a short time but doesn't fight it. there's no time to fight it now, even if as the script says, she's not willing to actually bring it up.

4) hhuaghlubhagluhgh

the way vi makes an effort not just to hug caitlyn back but to comfort her, and everything about it is SO SOFT. the way she speaks, the way she calls her "cupcake", the way she rubs the back of her neck i'm just going to EAT my WHOLE ARM.

caitlyn's exasperated huff while she leans into vi with those tears in her eyes says so much. "i said don't ever stop calling me cupcake." "oh sure NOW you say thank you." "you don't need to say thank you because i would do it all again." "how am i ever going to be able to let you go?"

There has been news circling around about season 2 Arcane development as well as the Q&A recorded at the Facts Gents. Take some information posted with a grain of salt but I believe them to be plausible

Some questions for Arcane:

Q: In the voice acting were you able to be together in the studio for like scenes with interactions for example between Caitlyn and Vi

Katie: No... so I have not met Hailee who plays Vi. Normally when you do voice acting for something like Arcane, you are just in a box, so you have a producer on one side of the room with a glass pane between you And then it's just me and then the mic and the monitor with the lights or the animation and sometimes if Hailee's done her Vi lines before me then I'll get to hear the stuff that she's done and then I can respond to it. But most of the time there's a director on the screen who will just say the lines to me and then I have to respond and not that they are not great actors because I'm sure they could kind of give me a performance if they want it but I think they try and keep it neutral so then I'm responding to Vi saying something that might be potentially romantic and (the actor) will just be very dead and then I'll just have to kind of respond in the way that I would want to respond as caitlyn so it's funny that because when they put it together, it sounds like we're all in the same room because so much emotions that's carried forward in the voice acting but I've never met Ella or Hailee or anyone for that matter so it's great what they can do
