medblethdergâ:
What a shame, she thought, that the two of them had not been designated to stay in the same ward. She would have delighted in knowing she could bother the druid any time she liked, but, simply knowing where he resided would have to do for now.
âIâve been, itâs quite beautiful⊠but, I suppose youâre right.â
Glancing back, she gave him a knowing smile; of course she understood what he referred to. In both their minds, few sights could possibly compare to their homeland and its myriad of scenery. Such a gesture was fleeting, however, as Medb quickly turned her head back forwards while continuing to walk.Â
Still she listened, eager to explore each of the wards for herself.
âArchimedes ward, thatâs where Iâve been staying.â A pause, a slight shrug of her shoulders. âFor now, anyway.â
âSuch small spaces hardly suit most Servants, especially not myself.â
Of course, the dwellings provided were hardly any different from those of Chaldea, but, Medb considered those circumstances to be different. Here in this strange city, she could do far better once given the opportunity, and that was one of many goals.
âSay, how many other Servants have you found here, hm?â
Medb understood, of course she knew, it had been sung in the legend they shared. The feeling of sharing that nostalgia, the idea that there was something in which they could agree and feel, was uncanny. Surprise was evident in his gaze for a brief moment as he continued to follow.Â
Good thing sheâd be busy trying to take over Archimedes. or probably worse, she could turn it into her very version of Connacht. The idea made him strangely shiver. He couldnât allow it to happen, but then it would mean heâd have to keep an eye on her, and then that would mean heâd have to remain discretely close.Â
âThis is just like Chaldea, except for the fact weâre kinda free.â Ideas kept piling up one above the other, each one more dreadful than the previous. Ah, the irresistible sense of responsibility, he hated being a Caster.
The clicking of the staff stopped dryly as he stood, firm, still behind the Queen.
âWhat are you planninâ?â
