confounding, that was the proper word. cedric always chose his words carefully; some came easier than others and the junior clegane presented a challenge for the stark boy. he was quite difficult to label, even more challenging to understand. the boy was not used to such difficulty in reading others. still, he would not allow his academic curiosity to override his responsibilities here. it mattered little to him what the hound thought of him. he had long ago ceased valuing the opinions of those who sought to kill him, mock him, forget his family in the dust. he placed value where he desired and thus far, such determination meant the hound could not touch him.
