A couple years ago, I was extremely jealous of people on tiktok who had friends to @ on videos. I couldn't because none of my irls had tiktok and I didn't know how I was supposed to make friends on there, so I did the only other rational thing which was to make an alt account, give it a different name, different identity, and make it match pfps with my main account. I did start to @ my alt on videos and reply to myself, but that was just the start. After some time I grew to fear the idea of somebody realizing both accounts were me because I didn't really change the alt accounts personality, so I started to message myself in private DMs and send myself random videos so if anybody for some reason accused the accounts of being run by one person for some reason, I had "proof that it wasnt". I then continued to do this for DAYS, closer to a few WEEKS. I used my PC to respond through my alt and my phone for my main so it didn't look like the time between messages was used to switch between accounts, just time needed to be fully processed and sent over. After maybe the second week I stopped responding with my alt to comments and private DMs because I felt like a loser for what I was doing and it was so tedious to take out my computer and log into my account every time I wanted to fake a conversation, so I fully faked a friend break up over DMs by just making it look like my alt went offline one day and never came back.
