Finn gave Cassie a look and frowned. “damn, should make my move then.” he looked at Cassie in the mirror for any reaction. “You sure? I mean, I can help you out too.” He just shook his head at her condolences. “It is what it is… “He is. He’s done it before.” He was more hopeful than sure about that part.

Me too. Boys are asleep, we can chill and have fun

Finn looked at Cassie and just gave her a look. “I’m not a dog” He commented. He had just turned his attention to the outside when she replied back to his comments made about her partner and laughed. “He gay? Damn, must suck to be you then.” He shot back. Finn shrugged, glancing out the window again. “My parents are dead.. Jose asked me to join them, cos then I’d not have to worry about anything. I’m glad I did but you pigs gotta ruin everything, as always.”

“That fucking sucks!” He frowned. Finn watched Cassie in the mirror as she drove. “You ever fuck him? I mean, you ain’t bad looking and I’m sure he’d agree with me.” He spoke, looking out the window, while muttering to himself.

Finn frowned when her laughter echoed in his ear. “Copy that, partner” yea, the kid had the nerve, he didn’t have anything to lose regardless. He frowned and glared at her. “Rules are meant to be broken. Yo your partner the one who got shot?” He asked, looking at Cassie. He wanted to poke at her a little, have some fun while he was in her space anyway.

Finn looked at Cassie, not believing a word of it. “No? That’s what I’ve heard.” He spoke, glancing around the area again. He frowned. “I don’t wanna get fucking shot! Where the hell is the fun in that!” He watched as she took the wrapper before cuffing him back up. He tugged at the cuffs and gave her a look. “How long these stinking cuffs gotta be on?”

Finn glanced around them and frowned. He’d forgotten how many there were like a swarm of wasps. “Why not? You cops are all the same with those damn shields and guns.” He spoke, having witnessed no other episode than the one he found himself in now but having heard stories, it was all he had to lean his theory up against. “Who? So I can avoid those” he spoke, smirking at her. He had the candy bar finished not long after and handed her the wrapper.

Victory. He watched as she climbed back out og the car and opened his door. He turned enough for her to have the cuffs off of one hand and gave her a look of annoyance and disbelief. “You think I’d run? Nah, you’d just have shot me.” He spoke after taking the offered candy bar from her. “Thanks” he muttered as he opened it and took a big bite.

“Duncan’s my name.” He replied back to her question. He looked at the keys before looking at her and nodded. “Won’t.”

Finn watched Cassie closely and arched an eyebrow. “My name?” He asked and smirked. Finn was a good liar but he had to be careful, cops were literally reading into liars on a daily basis and he’d not been in this situation before. “My name’s Duncan” it was technically correct, so he wasn’t exactly giving it away.

The officer nodded and looked at Cassie with a smile. “You’re right, we should take the small wins any chance we got. See you around. You take care of that crazy son of a bitch by the way” He spoke, nodding over at Theo and gave Cassie a smirk before he walked off to his team. Theo looked up at her and nodded. “Go ahead and give him a good ol’ smack in the back of the head from me. Hey, I can’t promise anything” He gave her a smile and watched her till the doors were closed and the ambulance took off.

Finn looked at Cassie and frowned. He just watched as she walked around the car and got in. He glanced over at the glove compartment from where he sat before he gave her a shrug. “What’s the catch?” he asked, looking back at her.

The officer shrugged but looked at Cassie. “Likely, at least for a week or two. They know we’ll be on their asses if they make a wrong move. That’s true, good work on our part” He spoke with pride and he knew and could feel that she felt the pride herself. Theo smiled at Cassie and was about to answer her question when the medics pushed her aside and got to working on him. He answered whatever questions they had and tried to keep his eyes on her. Soon enough they had him on a stretcher on route to hospital.

— Finn watched the scene outside the car, glaring over at the officer who was keeping watch over him like a hawk. He was cuffed behind his back, did he really think he could run far that way? Or that he could even open the fucking car door? “Hey yo, pig? Got something I could eat? I’m starving.” He asked the guy and smirked at the look he got. “Come on!”

‘At least it’s something. And the amount of drugs we’ve gotten off the street with this bust, sure it’s a record for the year.” Cassie patted the officer on the arm and watched as he wandered away to check in with his team. She followed along with the stretcher to the waiting ambulance and looked down at her partner. “I’ll go book in the kid and then get to the hospital. Don’t be an ass to everyone.” She joked just before the back doors closed.
