You can call me Felix. Adult, trans man, he/him pronouns exclusively.
Currently on hiatus from this blog.
My sideblog for non-writing-related reblogging is @phantasmalfelix.
What I Write:
I write monsterfucking and horror-adjacent stuff I guess. Everything I write is character-focused without as much of a focus on plot. My writing features a lot of dark content, as well as sexual content. I try my best to tag everything appropriately/use content warnings and mature content labels to keep the NSFW content sequestered away, but I'd still prefer if you only follow me if you're 18+.
Below the cut are my currently posted works + info on my WIPs, which I shoved down there because this gets long otherwise. Please click on the read more if you're interested.
Currently Posted Writing:
Snakeskin:
Part one
Part two
Linos Tievis, a failing medical student who has an interest in monsters, finds an injured monster on the side of the road. Obviously he can't just leave her there, so he does what he can to nurse her back to health. However, she hates him, which is making things difficult.
Word count: 11,117 (on AO3. The word count on Tumblr is a little different due to edits.)
Genre: I have been told that it's horror. It's not supposed to be scary though, just... subtly disturbing. It's mostly meant to be a character study.
Content warnings: Blood and injury, misgendering, familial death, childhood trauma/child abuse, gender dysphoria, non-consensual kissing, past sexual assault, sexual thoughts, kind of cannibalism threats. Very brief and minor mentions of animal death and self-injury.
Notable features: villain origin story set 15 years before Faded Daisy, has a one-sided and very toxic monster/human "romance," has authentic evil insane trans man representation. Also there is a hot lizard lady.
There is also a separate NSFW monsterfucking bonus content story that I wrote for Snakeskin that you can find here. Please do not click on that link if you are a minor.
Other Posted Writing:
Favorite Animal
A prose poem thing about opossums and my father.
The Box
A short prose piece about a creature in a box.
Foxglove Dust erotica bonus content
Self-explanatory. Erotica that is connected to Foxglove Dust, but you don't need to read Foxglove Dust to read it. Please don't click on that link if you're a minor.
WIPS:
Faded Daisy:
A monster wakes up with no memories and no idea who or what they are, in a city that usually kills monsters on sight. However, they survive due to the help of the questionable Dr. Tievis, who names them Nameless and says he has never seen a monster like them. Grateful to him for saving their life, Nameless trusts him.
First draft word count: 38,656 words
Status: finished 8/10 of the second draft, taking a break from it at the moment.
Genre: Horror, probably
Notable features: Second person POV, a mad scientist, monsters, an extremely fucked up relationship.
Content warnings: Abuse, manipulation, injury and mutilation, blood and needles, borderline sexual assault, cannibalism, referenced self harm, referenced child abuse.
Foxglove Dust:
Linos Tievis has lost everything, his career, his clinic, his assistant– and worst of all, the monster who he had depended on to try to achieve his life goal. But he's come back from worse. He'll get it all back, one way or another.
Estimated final word count: Probably slightly longer than Faded Daisy.
Status: Writing the first draft.
Genre: Kind of horror, kind of... anti-romance?? I don't know I have no idea what genre this thing is.
Notable features: Human/monster sexual relationship and one-sided romance with an aromantic love interest. Mad scientist gets a redemption arc?? Maybe???
Content warnings: Suicidal ideation, self-harm, injury and mutilation, amputation, surgery, blood and needles, mention of past child rape, child violence, kind of body horror, on-page sex, mention of homophobia, mention of transphobia.

New words are: fear, joy, lonely, sad, and excited!
Friend:
Edwin forced a smile; it was sour on his lips. 'By all means, enlighten me,' he said. 'My parents are dead, my wife is gone, and my friends are mechanists at your table. Who do I have left to protect?'
Love:
Was he insane? To trust his life to a politician—of course Edwin could do it with ease; he was rich, and pale, and politics loved him. It was a different story for Finlay.
Again:
The dragons soon gave up their game and quieted down again, their tails twitching with left-over energy. They wound around the legs of the larger dragons, who were standing calm and quiet and eerily still, and flopped heavily down to the ground. They lay still as stone, but for the twitching of their tails.
Quiet:
Lakeview was quiet when he pushed into the entrance hall. It always was of a morning. He considered going straight to his bedroom for a change of clothes, but immediately discarded the idea. It was past nine o'clock—he had missed breakfast by some ten minutes. If there was a rumour to be had in his having stayed from home, then it must already be circulating.
Heart:
He had loved Annalise with all his heart, and he would for the rest of his days. She had ignited something in him that could never be put out.

When the peace and quiet of Marlo Finear’s hometown is shattered with the discovery of a mysterious dead body, Marlo and his friends must jump into action and find the true culprit before the wrong person takes the blame.
Currently, the manuscript for Unquenchable is just over 109,000 words. You do not have to read the first book to read this one (I can share a summary doc filling you in on the relevant details; see more info in signup form below).
This post has many more details about the project, including a longer synopsis and a list of themes & tropes. If you are not familiar with the type of stories I typically write, you can check out my Writeblr intro here.

Peter didn't leave to enact his orders, but looked at Edwin askance. 'If I dared be so bold,' he said mildly, 'I would offer my congratulations, sir.'
Edwin spluttered under a drenching horror. He enjoyed something of a friendship with Peter, and as such he was allowed certain liberties—but such invasive remarks were not one of them.
'I'll thank you not to make such assumptions,' Edwin told him sharply. 'Your intended sentiments are unnecessary.'
Peter's expression faltered. He recovered himself quickly, but at once Edwin knew he had been too harsh. 'I beg your pardon, sir,' Peter said. 'I shall have your bath drawn at once.'
He bowed away before Edwin could master his pride, and Edwin's bleak mood darkened still further.

Thank you so much for the tag, @zmwrites! I have had a very productive morning today writing first at a cafe and then the library too -- having a blast! I'm going to have to schedule in more days like this soon, for sure, but first let me hunt down scrub, home, blue, and start in Necromancer WIP!
These are hefty excerpts, but the context is important, so get out your spectacles and enjoy <3
Scrub:
It’s invigorating. Quintus scrubs blood and dirt and sweat from his body, and releases the air in his lungs and blinks water from his eyes as he surfaces. The sky above him is pale and cloud-specked, and birds sing in the distance. He can’t remember the last time he was clean.
Home and Blue:
Nikolaos, you idiot, it’s time to come home.
Quintus’s mind starts racing. Nikolaos in the rain, his hair plastered to his smiling face. Nikolaos chewing hungrily, crumbs dropping into his lap. Nikolaos trying to thread a needle with his tongue between his teeth. Nikolaos wiping away a frustrated tear when he thinks no one is looking.
There’s a sound like a splash and Quintus comes back to himself, inhaling a mouthful of lake water and slipping under the surface.
It’s cool and dark and quiet there, but he barely has time to contemplate it properly before a strong arm has disrupted it, looping around Quintus’s chest and yanking him back into a world of sensation and fear.
He shakes water from his eyes and finds himself staring at Nikolaos, alive and well.
“Oh thank god,” Quintus says, his voice breaking, and a suspicious amount of lake water rolling down his cheeks.
They hold on to each other, trying to stay afloat, Nikolaos in all his sodden, heavy clothes, and Quintus nearly nude, both of them with matching blue lips. Nikolaos doesn’t speak, and Quintus tries very hard not to wonder what creative ways he might’ve died this time that Quintus cannot see.
Start:
Anger surges up inside Quintus like a wave washing ashore over and over again. He’s too short, too unhappy, too stupid to know when to stop. He punches Nikolaos’s very firm chest, and then once he starts, he can’t seem to stop, pummeling and pummeling and maybe he’s crying or saying something but he can’t hear it over the surf crashing in his ears.
Nikolaos lets him, only turning his head slightly to avoid the worst of Quintus’s erratic movements. Quintus is unable to find himself in the maelstrom in his own head. He is lost, adrift, disoriented and off course, and everything hurts.
“η καρδιά μου,” Nikolaos says, words Quintus doesn’t recognize. Perhaps because he cannot recognize them, he lashes out, strikes Nikolaos across the face in a knuckle-throbbing way that is sure to hurt.
Grabbing him now, Nikolaos sets his jaw. Quintus hits him again.
Nikolaos takes one of Quintus’s arms and twists it sharply. Quintus shouts with the pain and pulls a knife, stepping under Nikolaos’s guard in a smooth motion, raising the point to Nikolaos’s throat.
They freeze, locked in a perverse embrace, breathing heavily. “Stop,” Nikolaos says.

So I take my life in my hands, because at this point, why not?
Conditioning runs deep.
And it’s satisfying, knowing someone wants to start shit with you but they don’t have the guts to do it.
Right now, here, with this stranger doing exactly what I told him to do, I can’t handle what it’s dredging up.
Even after everything he’s done to me here, after everything he’s made me do, there are still rooms I haven’t been hurt in yet.
Don’t even try to pretend that isn’t true.

And in the meantime her mother was pouring over the information the doctors had given her about the surgeries. She would sit next to Peloria’s bed for hours everyday, muttering to herself, reading sections out loud to Peloria. Getting more and more frustrated with her daughters’ apathy on the topic of hair transplants and how to match artificial skin to her original skintone. “We could finally fix your asymmetric face too,” she would say. “It doesn’t cost much more to shave down the bone.”

Finlay looked out at the rain still hammering down outside. 'Is that why you're here?' he asked at length. 'Couldn't you sleep?'
Edwin followed his gaze. 'No,' he said softly. 'I couldn't.'
'Well, you're welcome in the tent any time,' Finlay joked, uneasy with the sudden quietness of him. 'The door's always open. Or it would be, if I had one.'

New words are: front, force, flight, fright, and flee!
Advance:
He took another piece of coal and held it out on his palm. The dragon hesitated. Then it came forwards and took the coal, its muzzle warm against Edwin's skin. All mechanistry was warm, by virtue of the steam engine that kept them running, but this dragon was so startlingly advanced that he could almost have believed it was simply the body heat of a living, breathing being.
Ankle foot:
The equine head tipped forwards, peering down at the coal, illuminating it with the yellow glow from its light bulb eyes. It stepped forwards, a long leg appearing from the bushes, made of steel and hydraulic pistons. It was articulated at the knee, and the foot sported long steel claws.
Admit:
'I believe she suspects,' Edwin admitted, his humour failing. 'For better or for worse, Lord only knows.'
Admire:
'You're not capable of giving half of your heart to anything. You're all in or you're not at the table. It's an admirable thing.'
Approve disapprove:
It was a long walk, alone and with his clothes still faintly damp from the previous night. His trousers were muddied at the hems, and he had been forced to fasten his jacket more tightly than he liked: his shirt was covered in creases. He could already imagine the disapproval on his maid's face when she saw the state of him.

Today I am subjecting you all to Jonathan because they are a darling and the world needs more of them <3
In no particular order:
'But we must look regardless—it's no use sitting here thrashing yourself to pieces.'
'There is no cost greater than to watch one's friend suffer.'
'Now, then,' they said. 'Dry off those eyes, my man; we have dragons to catch.'
'Xavier, my dear,' they gasped, 'how very astute of you!'
'Don't worry, old chap; we've all made questionable design choices in our time.'
'Edwin, how could you! You were feeding dragons my fuel and you never once told me!'
'What I wouldn't give, mind, for a ride on its back. Can you imagine!'
'Xavier's been so wrapped up in our joint project, I'd say he's hardly left his house all week, so I'm making him join me for brunch.'
'Come now, chaps,' Jonathan said after a while of eerie silence. 'This is a dismal scene. We ought to be celebrating!'
'What remarkable technology—did you know it can eat and drink—refill its own engine unsupervised? And the intelligence it shows—I tell you, it's like an animal—'
Jonathan looked momentarily baffled. 'What food might a mechanical dragon eat?'
'Dragons, Edwin!'
'Cooper, you must knock some sense into him.'
'We shall wait with you,' they said firmly. 'They won't be rid of us until we know you're in the clear.'
'Soon you will see your Samara again, and Xavier will see Clifford, and I am going to collapse into a decadently soft bed and sleep until Friday afternoon.'

Thankyou for the tag @beeonaspiderweb :) I've gotten back to writing Castella Cake while on holiday! Her hijinks are so fun to write :)
Oh, right. I had neglected to mention that my recent attempts with fire were rather… ill-fated. After Nonna disappeared, I found myself in the awkward place of having a vague idea of how fire spells worked, without any grasp on important details, like how to aim, and how to not murder everything in a fifty metre radius from my spell. After several second degree burns (and one horrible third degree), Grace had firmly banned me from playing with fire, so to speak.
But what could go wrong? Surely not even the giant magic spider would be immune to fire.

New word is: BRIGHT
U:
Unable to contain himself, Finlay stepped closer, grabbing to Edwin's jacket like a child begging for his mother.
N:
'Never do that to me again.'
D:
'Don't,' Finlay told him. He pulled firmly away, shaking his head. 'I just hope we don't live to regret this.'
E:
Even Stratford had begun to look at him with pity.
R:
Rather guiltily, Edwin realised he hadn't been forthcoming with his attentions the past few days. She was likely sulking.

New words are: strain, kick, blow, and move!
Unreadable:
The Mechmaster's eyes were fixed upon him. Her natural brown eye was gentle; her mechanical green one was cold and unreadable.
Unwilling:
He ushered the Mechmaster backwards, unwilling to meet with the dragons in a confined space. The three glowing eyes rose higher, until it was clear that it was both of the larger dragons approaching. They stepped slowly out of the trees, their attention fixed upon the Mechmaster.
Ultimate final:
His final stop, once the cat was up and purring again, was the market, to pick up a carrot for Samara. He didn't like working her so hard—especially now that she was nearing twenty-six—and he wanted to make it up to her.
Under:
The boarding ramp hit the ground. Two guards descended first and stood at the end of the ramp, the pistols at their belts glinting under the airship's floodlights.

(Looks at Tievis) I am legally obligated to say villain protagonist.
Lies by omission or lies with a smile?
Lies with a smile!! I love smiling liars <3 <3
Your character gets caught, do they talk their way out or run?
For Tievis, it depends. Most often he runs, although occasionally he can talk his way out. He usually saves his manipulation skills for people/monsters he has power over though, not anyone he would actually be in danger of. That's when running comes in.
Nameless is most likely to just freeze and do neither.
Asen definitely talks his way out.
Morally grey love interest or morally grey best friend?
... Do I write love interests or best friends? I don't know what any of the relationships I write are. It's all a mess. I do like them morally grey though, whatever they are.
Your protagonist's fatal flaw: too much trust or not enough?
Not enough for everyone except Nameless, who is wayy too trusting.
Writing the betrayal scene or writing the aftermath?
Betrayal!! <3 <3
Crime of passion or crime of calculation?
Calculation! I love calculating villains who have planned everything out up to years in advance.
Redemption arc or "they were right all along" arc?
I guess redemption, no strong opinions. I attempted to write a redemption arc for Tievis but it didn't really work out, I chaged my mind about what to do with him, so I haven't really written either.
The confession scene happens in a courtroom, a rooftop, or a bed?
Bed. So many important scenes happen near or in beds in general now that I'm thinking about it.
Your character keeps one honest thing about themselves, is it their name, their past, or their feelings for one person?
I don't really understand this question, and I think if I am understanding it correctly my answer for my characters would be too nuanced for me to answer easily.
Leaving this open tag, if anyone wants to answer these questions please feel free to take advantage of it <3 Blank questions are below the cut.
Antihero or villain protagonist?
Lies by omission or lies with a smile?
Your character gets caught, do they talk their way out or run?
Morally grey love interest or morally grey best friend?

The confession scene happens in a courtroom, a rooftop, or a bed?
Your character keeps one honest thing about themselves, is it their name, their past, or their feelings for one person?
Both? Can both be an option? I love both. If I really really really gotta pick it has to be villain protag, though. Love me an unabashedly evil bastard.
Lies by omission or lies with a smile?
Lies by omission, I think. I love writing tricky things, and having to carefully word a character's voice makes it all the more enjoyable.
Your character gets caught, do they talk their way out or run?
Racer, true to her name, runs at every chance. She got that prey animal instinct in her. Castella is a talk-things-out, out of optimism and the love in her heart. Amelie does not know the meaning of either of those two words. She fights or she dies. 001 is also a talker, for exactly the same reason as Castella (holy shit this just made me realise they'd be buddies).
Morally grey love interest or morally grey best friend?
I don't write romance, so best friend wins by default LOL
Your protagonist's fatal flaw: too much trust or not enough?
Not enough for Racer & Amelie, too much for Stel and 001.
Writing the betrayal scene or writing the aftermath?
BETRAYAL BETRAYAL BETRAYAL. I LOVE FEELING THE CHARACTER'S HEARTBREAK LIKE IT'S MY OWN CHEST GIVING WAY, I LOVE THE GRIEF FILLED HORROR OF 'LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE, LOOK WHAT YOU CANNOT TAKE BACK, LOOK WHAT WE HAVE BECOME' I LOVE BETRAYAL.
Hi yes I am very normal about this.
Crime of passion or crime of calculation?
See above: Crime of passion. I love characters who commit evil and then feel 10000000 things about it.
Redemption arc or "they were right all along" arc?
... neither? I guess if I had to choose, redemption arc. But I don't particularly like either trope.
The confession scene happens in a courtroom, a rooftop, or a bed?
Courtroom!! #drama
Your character keeps one honest thing about themselves, is it their name, their past, or their feelings for one person?
Racer keeps her love for her motorbike honest (does that count?). Amelie won't ever give up her name, even if she wants to forget her past. Castella, I think, will always cling to the good old days, before the zombie apocalypse happened. So her past. 001 is honest all the time! Yesyes.
