I wish I could have been the one to answer this, because I had a whole speech and everything, but I suppose thatâs what I get for waiting til I have access to a computer.
Anon, I can absolutely relate to your problem. I follow the âfat acceptanceâ tag, and almost every single day offensive, hate-filled, bigoted, fatphobic posts fill my dashboard because they are tagged as âfat acceptance.â It hurts a lot. In fact, itâs often triggering, and I always think to myself, âMaybe I should unfollow that tag; who cares if I want to spread positivity to others when all this does is hurt me?â
But I follow a lot of blogs that make me feel just a bit better, and I even run one myself: @voluptuousvampire . Thatâs how Mod Guillermo found me.
Hereâs some of the blogs. Hopefully they help you smile too. Itâs a mix of body positive, fat acceptance, fat peopleâs personal blogs where they say badass things and act awesome, fat selfie blogs, and fat fashion blogs:
@batscoundrel (Donât you dare try to tell me you donât count, by the way)
@bodypositivityandglitter
@brasandbodyimage (this is a mix of a lot of different things)
@claimyourbigisbeyoutiful
@darlingiknow (mix of a lot of things but damn those fat acceptance posts are spot on)
@drinking-tea-at-midnight
@fandomsandfeminism (a mainly feminist blog with the occassional badass fat acceptance post)
@fat-posi-for-black-women
@fatnakedartproject (NSFW?)
@fuckyeahmelissafabello (yes THAT Melissa Fabello)
@fuckyeahwomenprotesting (just a general badass)
@iamatinyowl (a feminist blog but omg amazing for fat people)
@plussizeneverlookedsogood
@radicalbodypositive (also a feminist blog with body positive stuff)
@thatfeministkilljoy (a feminist with occasional badass fat positivity)
I also recommend @egg-licker .
Hope this helps anon! Let me know if anyone should be removed or added to this list.
