h....horror? mystery? suspense? + dash of post apocalyptic zombie invasion. + action and adventure. definitely a disaster film.

he doesn’t have a room of his own! he shares it with newt - they squished their beds together and refused to sleep separately. minho’s never had a room to himself in his life, too - in fact, this is his first time living in an apartment. the room he shares with newt probably doesn’t have much space left over, with there being two beds occupying the whole damn room and all.

however, to explain how minho might use the shared room -- minho’s not really one to sweat the details when it comes down to it-- he does put away his belongings, but there’s something sloppy about the way he does it. for example, the shirts are folded, sure, but they definitely could be folded more neatly. there might be some half eaten chips on the bed and he might say why put them away if he’s going to eat them later, anyway. ( ????? )

“This city’s security system is bullshit.”

“Yeah, captain obvious. For someone so weird looking, you actually have a brain.”

He sounds too amused.

looks like someone finally got their hands on the news.

it’s something really cool to have. he’d always had thoughts of dating and romance, it just never was a priority in his life until... well, until never. his life has always been about surviving, getting to the next stage, trying to live -- he does experience attraction and he does allude to hitting on some girls in canon, but it never really goes beyond comments. 

In Koi, he already has plans to be fated! that said, for now, he still might make jokes related to love, but it’s going to take some time for his paranoia to die down to actually pursue a relationship - not to mention he doesn’t trust easily, as well. he’s an easy going guy to banter and talk with once he gets his paranoia in check,  but gaining his trust can be a little tricky.

No. None. Forgetting is what led him into disaster, and into a zombie apocalypse - he’d had his memories tampered with far too much.

This festival? Feels like it was made for him. He’d gotten far too many prizes at any game that required accuracy -- his initial carefulness and paranoia was now nowhere to be seen, and now he’s carrying a bag full of stuffed toys. It’s weird, how he likes fluffy and soft things. It’s nice to have them in his hands and squish them-- it’s a luxury he’d never gotten to have, and all these things are ... weird. The whole aspect of living in comfort? For him, when comfort was a simple bed with a mattress, the whole city of Koi was a luxury 5 star hotel in the Bahamas. 

( Albeit a suspicious one! )

He’d managed to get a giant plastic bag somewhere, and it’s now stuffed to the brim with plush soft animals of all sorts. Is he imitating Santa Claus? maybe, with how it was swung over his shoulder -- 

Oh, his shoe is untied. 

Ditch the Santa cosplay, placing the bag next to him as he crouches down -- only looking up when he hears someone step a little too close to the bag, and he furrows his brows.

Well-- here he is, without his partner in crime. Familiarity seems to have taken a hike somewhere up into the mountains -- maybe to find itself, Minho doesn’t know. Everything in this loud streets? A stranger to him -- the cheer, the laughter, the voices; it’s carefreeness that he’d never encountered, and he feels like a fish out of water, a runner without running shoes --

It’s exhilarating.

The lights are bright in the summer night, and yet the warm atmosphere feels rather artificial. He lets it wash over him, taking the surroundings in stride; so many people from a different place than he was -- or was this all WICKED’s ploy? But there was no way they could even get these people in the first place, when most of the population was, to be very frank, dead.

A slender figure, a flash of blonde hair. He catches it through throngs of people, and Minho’s not sure if he saw properly -- but if Newt was here, then maybe-? 

His paranoia tells him to slow down, that this could be a Trial; but when had he ever listened to it? Minho wasn’t one to let opportunities slip away, and he grabs it while he can, pushing through people to catch up to her -- 

“Never thought I’d see you here--”

... oh. Maybe this was a Trial after all. Words initially spill out in English, and he considers changing to the language Koi used -- but... the person in front of him didn’t remotely look Asian at all, and so Minho makes an assumption, continuing in English. ( It’s still a bit weird, being mostly surrounded by people who looked sorta similar to him compared to the Glade. )

“Slinthead-- watch it! Do you have eyes or not-?” 

Mood of the day? Sharp annoyance. Minho looks skeptically at the dart that’d embedded itself in the wood right next to his face, way off target-- standing next to the dart boards? not a good idea, but who knew that the player’s aim would be that bad?

Despite all his big words and confidence, and all the smooth comments he made -- Minho was not well versed in romance. Who had time to date or love when they were all trying to get everyone out alive? ( Thomas, apparently. ) It wasn’t like he didn’t want a girlfriend or whatever -- it was just that when you were sorta in a life threatening situation, you sorta... uh, tended to focus on the life threatening situation first. 

So- Handholding? Dating? Someone teach him how to use Google, Maybe he can at least read up on shitty Yahoo Answers.

But, of course, Minho was not a schoolgirl with a crush ( oh, Harriet would have put a knife to his throat for that comment ), and there was absolutely no need to get nervous over this -- it was with Newt, and maybe with Newt, things would feel a bit more like home than awkward acting, anyway. This was the person he joked about having griever makeouts with; Pretending to date? Should be no problem. 

Confidence is both his vice and blessing; he lets a lazy smirk drift across his face, even as he pauses at the entrance of the festival street, looking around at the lights and the colorful clothes. His gaze lands on Newt automatically after he surveys their surroundings --  holding out a hand, palm up, as if asking for a ballroom dance. His other hand rests in his pocket.

“So, slinthead--” he starts, drawling, trademark sarcasm obvious-- 

SUP! minho’s on semi hiatus but i love minho and i literally can not keep off him and rp? my jam. so HERE I AM AGAIN here’s a STARTER CALL for #knystarfestival ! 

Surprisingly, he loves taking showers! He’s gone 3-5 years without having proper access to water, being in a zombie infested wasteland, and therefore, he usually smells like soap-- until he gets his hands on different kinds of body wash. He tried bath bombs once, and found them fun, so -- sometimes he smells like all sorts of artificial fruit.

Later, he’ll smell like cologne when he discovers them. All kinds of cologne. He’ll find a favourite sometime, but it’s not any time soon.

Nope! He definitely… does not trust easily at all. He already has people who have his back, and he doesn't necessarily need to trust more. his logic is that the more he trusts, the more liabilities there are.

However, if you make sensible and good choices, and do what you think is the right thing, you’ll find him backing you if he deems you someone that's on his side, and if he sees that you really do have the right idea in mind. Conviction to your idea is important too. So is making logical choices, but if you’re being indecisive, Minho doesn’t mind throwing some sardonic comments at you so you can make the choice more easily. Being stuck together in dire situations is optional, but it would definitely speed up the process.
