Certain words can change your brain forever and ever so you do have to be very careful about it.
Brain dump because I know some people will have discourse and thoughts too.
In a way the canon AU was tragic in its own right in the way that we could view the characters through a violent environment that was out of their control and not knowing proper social etiquette. Blame for their actions was not solely theirs to carry at all when presented with the evidence that in a brighter world, they would've thrived within innocence.
But now the zombie AU brings a bigger question of character morality when we know these characters have been brought up in a society much like ours and within our reality. They know social constructs and etiquette, they know morals. But the environment in which the characters are in (the kpop idol industry) is violent in its own right. The canon AU had the benefit of separation from reality (alien stage) but the question and environment is one in the same as a construct - commodification of the human spirit outside of the victim's control bringing them to take desperate action. With more nuance in the zombie AU no doubt but still.
I, for one, look forward to analysing the characters morals and actions knowing they had our framework. π
Mordin's song still makes me cry to this damn day.

βββββββββ and you? who're you?
I've posted abt this before but I need someone to understand.
I actually kind of lose it seeing places in cyberpunk and knowing what's going to happen there. Like ghosts of the future that V has no idea of rapidly approaching. Before all the events of phantom liberty, before they know just how bad the relic situation is going to be. Embers, no-tell motel, Arasaka tower, Dogtown, the station where you say goodbye to Reed, etc... An eerie echo that you, the player, know on subsequent playthroughs. Places that used to just be places. Now they're memories.
Why are we not angrier? Why is this simply being allowed to happen? Why do I wake up and see obvious terror on humanity and human rights and it be simply normal? Why are we not angrier? Why is it that children being ripped from their families and tearfully pleading for their safety is okay? Why is it that I hear a lack of empathy for people? When did we lose our humanity? When did we lose our drive to help others? When did we lose our rights as citizens to keep our governments in check? When did we allow shackles to chain us to our daily lives? When will people get angrier? Why are we allowing our government to use hunger as a monopoly on human lives? Why are we allowing plight to coexist and call it peace? Why are we allowing people to lose their rights? Why are we allowing groups fall into danger and continue our lives? Why do I feel like I'm losing my mind being so angry? When will people get angrier? When will people get angrier?
WHEN WILL PEOPLE GET ANGRIER?!
