Pussyfree Magazine
Pussyfree magazine issue #1: Sponsored by the SREC: Sissy Refinement and Education Center!
The new social movement: Why thousands of women are choosing a better world
Ever since the world found out about beta males, and decided to take decisive action against them, thousands if not millions of women are standing up against beta males and making their husbands, boyfriends, neighbors take the beta test.
“I mean I didn't know I could live like this. I didn't know that we had a choice but now I know we do,” says Riddhi Shah, 30 from New Delhi. "After my husband got designated a beta male, and we sent him to the SREC to get feminized and re educated, life has been so much easier. I don't worry about housework, or anything. The sissy takes care of everything,” It's not just Riddhi’s life that has changed. More and more women feel empowered and awakened, knowing that their sissies will take care of almost all of their needs.
" Do I miss sex with my husband?” Michelle, 26 from Maine repeats the question we just asked her. " God. No. He had no idea what he was doing. He lacked uh the uh equipment. And well, he didn't make up for it. Now? I have an alpha male that comes and fucks me, and like actually FUCKS me while my sissy stays in the corner and waits on my every need. I hate to admit it, but fuck it. I will. My marriage has never been better,”
Exclusive interview with Luna Star
PM: So Luna what have you been up to?
Luna: Well as you know I've mainly been trying to work on my new album, it's called Liberation and it comes out next month. I have a movie out next week, it's called “When Betas strike back" and it's a comedy about a pussyfree beta who dreams about a life where he's an alpha before the women put him back in his place, and in between all of that I've just been enjoying my work with the SREC.
PM: Tell us more about that. What made you want to be involved with Sissies and their reeducation?
Luna: Well, like most women and feminists, I truly believe beta males are the low point of society, but sissies are the opposite, they are our chance to course correct a betas life, and make it meaningful again, by serving us, by waiting on us, by feminizing them. And I think that's as good a cause as any to really give back to society.
PM: You brought up feminization, and I think that's a really good point. When the SREC first came out with their curriculum and their goals in feminizing beta males to sissies, there were a lot of critics that said feminization is a inherently misogynistic activity. What do you have to say to them?Luna: Well, honestly I initially saw it that way too. But look, I'm a hyper feminine girly pop. I love sissies, and even before the beta male designation, sissies existed, and I seemed to have had a lot of fans that were sissies. To me, sissies celebrate femininity way more than women themselves, and sissies, just by existing make women's lives better.
PM: What can you tell us about the "Pussyfree Pledge" itself? For those who haven't seen the viral campaign, could you walk us through the philosophy behind it?
Luna: "The Pledge isn't about deprivation; it's about alignment. When a beta male signs the pledge, he's essentially admitting that he's not built for the traditional chase, he's not built for pussy, and he's made the sacrifice for freedom. He's acknowledging that his true purpose isn't to compete with alphas, but to provide a supportive, aesthetic, and subservient foundation for us. By removing the goal of sexual conquest from his mind, we clear away the clutter. Once that's gone, there's this wonderful, open space where the desire to please and the urge to be feminine can finally bloom. It’s about shifting the focus from *getting* to *giving*.
PM: It's a bold shift in social engineering. Some of your fans have mentioned that the pledge often comes with a set of 'starter kits'—things like skincare routines, hair removal creams, specific wardrobe changes, and even a commitment to certain domestic duties. Is that where the physical transition into a sissy begins?
Luna: Exactly. You can't just tell someone they're a sissy; you have to help them *feel* it. The kits are designed to bridge that gap. I worked with the SREC engineers to make sure the transition feels natural. As we all know, betas after they are classified get sent to the SREC where they start their feminization, and chastity. This pledge can be before or after their feminization. We just wanted them to know we got them. We start with the things that make them feel soft and cared for. Once they realize how much more peaceful their lives are when they aren't trying to act tough or dominant, the psychological shift happens almost instantly. They stop fighting the current and just start floating in the luxury of being useful.
PM: Looking back at your career, you've moved from being a pop icon to almost a spiritual guide for this movement. Was there a specific moment where you realized your platform could be used for something as systemic as the SREC's goals?Luna: It was actually during the 'Neon Dream' tour, about two years ago. I had this habit of staying up late after the shows, and I started noticing a pattern in my DMs. It wasn't just fans asking for autographs; it was these incredibly sincere, almost desperate letters from men who felt completely misplaced in the world. They were exhausted by the pressure to be 'providers' or 'leaders' when they didn't have a single masculine bone in their bodies. They were telling me that my music felt like a permission slip to be soft. That was the lightbulb moment. I realized that while I was singing about love and liberation, there was a whole demographic of men who needed a practical, structured way to actually achieve that liberation. I didn't want them to just feel it for three minutes during a song; I wanted them to live it.
PM: That’s a powerful transition from art to advocacy. Speaking of the practical side, we’ve seen the growth of 'Pussyfree Hubs' in major cities—physical spaces where those who have signed the pledge can go for guidance and communal feminization. How do those spaces contribute to the overall goal of the SREC?
Luna: The Hubs are everything. You can do a lot via an app or a starter kit, but there's something about the communal aspect of it. When a new pledge-signer walks into a Hub and sees twenty other sissies—all in their skincare routines, all practicing their poise, all happily embracing their role—the shame just evaporates. It turns into a shared joy. We have workshops on everything from aesthetic maintenance to the art of the perfect tea service. It’s less like a school and more like a sanctuary. It’s where the theory of the Pussyfree Pledge becomes a physical reality. Seeing a group of sissies supporting one another in their journey toward femininity is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed.
PM: Some critics might argue that by removing the 'chase' and the traditional masculine drive, you're stripping away a part of the human experience. Do you think there's a risk of over-correction here?
Luna: Over-correction? That’s like saying there’s a risk of over-correcting someone who was walking in the wrong direction for their entire life. The 'masculine drive' for a beta male isn't a gift; it's a burden. It's a heavy, ill-fitting coat they've been forced to wear since birth. When we strip that away, we aren't taking something *from* them; we're giving them the freedom to finally stop pretending. The 'human experience' they're losing is just the stress of failing at a game they were never meant to play. Imagine the relief of finally being told: 'You don't have to win. You just have to be pretty and helpful.
PM: It sounds like you've created a very specific kind of peace. Speaking of the transition, we’ve noticed that the feminization often encourages a 'wardrobe transition' that goes beyond just aesthetics. There's a psychological component to wearing the clothes of the opposite gender, especially in a structured environment. How do you handle the initial resistance some men feel when they first put on panties or have their first bra fitting?
Luna: The resistance is usually just a ghost of the old programming. At first, they feel a bit exposed, or maybe a little silly. But that's why the SREC's approach is so gradual. We don't just throw them into a gala gown on day one. It starts with soft fabrics—silks and satins that feel good against the skin. Once they realize that the physical sensation of femininity is actually calming, the mental barrier breaks. By the time they reach the stage of wearing a full outfit, they aren't thinking about 'resistance' anymore. They're thinking about how they look in the mirror and how much more they enjoy being seen as a delicate thing rather than a clumsy man.
PM: The scale of this movement is growing rapidly. We've seen reports that entire corporate departments are adopting the Pussyfree philosophy, with beta employees opting into feminization as a way to improve workplace harmony. Is the goal to eventually see the Pussyfree Pledge become a standard social contract for non-alpha males globally?
Luna: That would be the dream, wouldn't it? Imagine a world where the social friction caused by masculine insecurity is just... gone. If every beta male in an office transitioned into a sissy, the productivity would actually skyrocket because the ego is removed from the equation. There's no more fighting for the corner office or the loudest voice in the room when everyone is focused on the grace of their service and the quality of their presentation. It’s not just about fashion; it’s about creating a streamlined, harmonious society where everyone knows exactly where they fit.
PM: It's a vision of a very different world. Let's shift gears slightly to your upcoming film, *When Betas Strike Back*. You mentioned it's a comedy, but it sounds like it also serves as a sort of cautionary tale. Does the movie reflect the real-life experiences of the men who come to the SREC?
Luna: Oh, absolutely. The protagonist spends the first half of the movie trying to 'alpha' his way through life—going to the gym, trying to talk deeply, pretending he knows how to lead. It’s played for laughs because it’s so painfully unnatural. The comedy comes from the gap between who he thinks he is and who he actually is. But the climax of the movie is when he finally signs the pledge and is 'put in his place.' The look of pure, unadulterated relief on his face when he finally accepts his role as a sissy is the most honest moment in the film. I think people will find it hilarious, but also deeply validating.

My wife led me down the hall to the study; Mrs. Whitestone was sitting in an easy chair, reading, her nylon covered legs propped up on an ottoman.
"Mrs. Whitestone," my wife said knocking on the doorframe, "good morning."
"Please, it's Jennifer," Mrs. Whitestone said with a smile. "Come in, come in, dear, but have the one you brought with you wait in the hall."
"Sorry," my wife apologized. "I'm just so grateful, I wasn't sure what to do...I've never left him alone more than a night and I thought he'd be okay, but when Drew suggested the idea..." She looked back at me. I was standing in just outside the doorway.
"Nonsense," Mrs. Whitestone said. "Drew's a good man and you're right to be worried. A week is entirely too long to leave a husband home alone. You'd never relax."
"I just...it just seems to be an imposition..."
"It's not, trust me. My son deserves a week away with his girlfriend, I know how happy he is dating you and you make an adorable couple. If the cost is me babysitting for week, it's well worth it."
"He can be..." my wife looked at me standing in the hall, considered her words, "a bit needy."
"Nothing some discipline can't fix," Mrs. Whitestone said. "Drew mentioned my ground rules."
"He...he did," my wife said. "He...we discussed them and I...my husband will follow them."
"I appreciate they may be...extreme...but as a training tool, they are quite effective. Is he prepared or do I need to give him a few minutes? He's welcome to use the foyer if he needs to change."
"No, he...we prepared ahead of time."
Mrs. Whitestone smiled, looked at me for the first time, made a gesture with her hand. "You can disrobe," she said, "you wife can take those things, you won't need them here."
"N...now?" I stammered.
"Of course. You're not proceeding past the hallway dressed like that."
"I..."
"Is he slow?" Mrs. Whitestone asked my wife.
"No, he...he's just...shy...this is new to him...us."
"You'll come back next week and found him acclimated, trust me."
"Go on, then," Mrs. Whitestone said, looking over my wife at me.
I sighed, undid my pants, pulled my shirt over my head, took off my pants, shirt, and shoes, stripped down to the pale pink bra and panties I was wearing underneath.
"Better," Mrs. Whitestone said. "You may enter the room now."
I took a tentative step toward them, saw my wife looking at me, a horrified look on her face. "Henry! Mrs. White...Jennifer, I...I'm so sorry, I don't know what to say."
Both women looked at the erection in my panties, the tenting caused by a sudden rush of blood to the front of my body.
Mrs. Whitestone looked at me with a look of pity. "It's perfectly normal," she said to my wife, "I'll take care of that after you leave. Trust me, he won't be doing that again.; we'll cage that after you leave."
"He shouldn't be doing it now," my wife said. "What is the matter with you?"
"Disgusting as it is," Mrs. Whitestone said, "it's actually a positive sign. He responds to humiliation well, it will make his training easier. While I don't permit erections in my home, Drew excepted, of course, the fact his little thing swells means he'll take to the training quickly. Don't you worry about it, that will be a thing of the past."
"Drew said...you excel at...training...certain types of..."
"I do," Mrs. Whitestone said. "Again, you don't worry about it, you enjoy your time away with Drew, I'll take good care of him."
My wife came over next to me, kissed me gently on the cheek. "Behave," she said, "you promised."
"I...I will," I said.
She looked at me, gave me a little smile. "They're kind of cute on you," she said as she walked away, leaving me with my sitter.
You’ll have butterflies in your tummy when you see him
Still smelling of the bubble bath where you’d soaked after shaving your legs, as you read your romance novel, you finished off your nightly skincare routine. You loved how much better your face looked after the laser treatment, and it made it so much easier to be really serious about your routine without that gross hair making you feel weird. You looked at the time and realized it was later than you thought. Time to get some sleep.
It took you a minute to find your phone, but there it was, right where you left it earlier on the couch, where you sat with your tea after work and watched some of your favorite Vogue beauty secrets videos on YouTube. You set your alarm for the morning and went back to the bedroom for the night.
There it was, next to the bed, standing upright on the nightstand. Not it, there He was. Mike. You picked up the hefty dildo and kissed it on the top gently. “Love you, baby. Good night.” You thought of his solid frame and confident swagger. The way he walked through the office like he owned the place, despite being younger than most of the other executives. His chiseled jawline and piercing, intelligent eyes. You gave the shaft a gentle once over with your soft hand, then kissed the head again, for a bit longer this time. Again, with your mouth still touching it, you whispered, “I love you,” this time a bit more slowly.
You turned off the lights, then pulled back your duvet and climbed in on top of the silk sheets, your smooth and hairless body gliding on the soft surface. You smoothed out your nightgown and absently touched your flat metal chastity cage. For whatever reason tucking didn’t feel right at night. You preferred the cage, which didn’t pinch as much as being tucked as you tossed and turned in your sleep, yet still prevented your body from attempting a nocturnal erection, even though you were pretty sure you weren’t capable of that anymore anyway. Better safe than sorry, right?
After remembering a few things you needed to get done, your thoughts drifted back to Mike. Images of the two of you holding hands at a romantic restaurant, walking along a beach at sunset, sharing a profound conversation while watching the sun rise. Him strutting around the office, better than everyone but not arrogant about it. You wondered what he was doing right now, thought about him in his bed. Did he ever think about you as he drifted off to sleep? Maybe he sleeps naked…
You reached over in the dark to your nightstand and grabbed the dildo, rubbing it against your face, nuzzling it. “I love you, Mike.” You kissed the tip again, lingering for several seconds, then kissing more, gently sucking on the head as you tickled the shaft. His face in your mind, his powerful hands. You moved your mouth down the shaft, wetting it with your saliva. Slowly up and down, a little further gradually. Picturing his powerful body above you, imagining running your fingers along his abs. Sucking greedily now, hearing his moans in your mind. You imagine he unleashes a torrent of hot semen into your mouth with a loud groan of pleasure.
As you reach down to your cage, your soft penis, imprisoned in its metal confines, has leaked your runny juices into your panties. You gather up as much as you can and bring them to your mouth, imagining it’s his cum, earned from your mouth’s zealous attention. His wouldn’t taste like this, you imagine. It would be more… manly. But it’s the closest you have.
Again, you place the dildo on your nightstand and sigh. “Goodnight, Mike. Daddy. Goodnight.” You drift off to sleep, the taste of the dildo and your secretions mixed in your mouth.
————-
It’s the next day, and you sit as your desk, boy clothes covering your smooth, soft body. You do your best to look stylish, but omg male clothes are so boring. Ugh. You’re always wearing a pair of cute panties, your little male bits securely tucked away, but over that… blah.
Your desk is near the other secretaries. People call you “the girls” collectively, and that always makes you happy. It’s a holdover from before you were hired, when the company had never had a male secretary. Well… “male.” You know, close enough. You’d gotten friendly with the “other” girls, after there being some separation at first. It had been awkward to have a man as a secretary, but they figured out soon enough that you were just… you, you know? Not really a man, not like that. They never asked you about your sexuality, but you were pretty sure they could kind of tell. Maybe more than kind of?
You hung up the phone after transferring a call to Mr. Santos and almost gasped when you saw him. Mike, right there at your desk, waiting to talk to you.
“Morning, Bobbie.”
Your legal name was Robert but everyone called you Bobby. You always imagined them saying Bobbie instead of Bobby though. So much cuter that way.
“Oh, um… hi, Mike. How are you today?” Your cheeks felt like they were on fire. His hand was on your desk and you marveled at how powerful it looked sitting there. The things it could do to you…
“Good, good. Hey, would you be able to call Chesterton and make sure they send those forms on time this week? The brass really doesn’t want another order to get delayed. If they give you any pushback, let me know and I’ll handle them myself.”
You could smell him. Clean, fresh, but like… strength? He smelled so good. You had a silly smile on your face.
“Sure, I’ll get that done right away, Mike! I know the girl who handles those forms, she’s super sweet, shouldn’t be a problem. But I’ll let you know if so, okay?”
“Thanks, Bobbie, appreciate it.” And he walked off purposefully. You didn’t know you were holding your breath until Stacey spoke and snapped you out of it.
“You in for lunch today, Bobbie?”
Stacey was super sweet, cute despite being a little past her prime and a few pounds overweight after giving birth to two kids. She always contoured a little too heavily but took super good care of her skin, which really helped at her age. The subtle, tasteful wings on her eyeliner were a bit uneven today. She had a new manicure, which you noticed first thing this morning and loved. The accent nail went perfectly with her earrings.
“Of course!” You inhaled sharply, still visibly flushed, as your eyes never left Mike while he walked away down the hall. As he rounded the corner, you turned to her. “I meant to tell you, your nails look so cute, by the way.”
“Oh my gosh, thanks! I tried this new place my sister told me about and I think I’m gonna go there from now on.”
“Totally. Big w for your sister.”
Alicia, two desks down on your other side, broke into the conversation. “Maybe at lunch we can talk about Mike,” she giggled. Alicia was funny but sometimes didn’t know when she’d crossed a line.
“Alicia!” Stacey whispered sharply. “Be nice.”
“I’m just saying. I think Bobbie would enjoy that conversation.” Another one of the girls giggled under her breath. You didn’t notice who.
“Anyway,” Stacey started up again, cheerfully, “maybe that new sandwich place down the block. I hear their salads are so good.”
You knew you should feel embarrassed, but for some reason all you were focused on was the spot on your desk where Mike’s hand had been a few moments ago.
You weren’t gonna wait until after your bath and makeup videos tonight. You were gonna get home, change out of your boy clothes, and head straight for your nightstand, you already knew…
The House of Liwia
Chapter 6 – Part III — Preparations
The dressing room door opened softly behind her.
Tiffany stepped out into the corridor.
The pale pink PMA robe felt strangely light against her skin. The satin fabric moved gently as she walked, catching the warm light from the ceiling above.
For a moment, she simply stood there.
Looking.
Searching.
Expecting.
Liwia was nowhere to be seen.
The corridor was exactly as she had left it.
Elegant.
Quiet.
Immaculate.
But empty.
Well… almost empty.
A few meters away, Elizabeth stood beside a marble console table, reviewing something on her tablet.
She looked up almost immediately.
A polite smile appeared on her face.
Not exaggerated.
Not forced.
Simply professional.
Warm.
Effortless.
“Ah, Tiffany.”
She lowered the tablet.
“Perfect.”
Tiffany instinctively glanced around again.
“Liwia?”
Elizabeth didn’t seem surprised by the question.
If anything, she looked as though she had expected it.
“Ms. Liwia is waiting for you.”
Tiffany frowned.
“Waiting where?”
“The guest lounge.”
The answer came so naturally that it took a moment to register.
“The guest lounge?”
Elizabeth nodded.
“Of course.”
Of course.
As if this were the most obvious thing in the world.
Tiffany stared at her for a second.
“She just left?”
A tiny smile touched the corner of Elizabeth’s lips.
“Ms. Liwia asked me to take care of you.”
The words were simple.
Matter-of-fact.
Professional.
Yet somehow they made Tiffany feel even more aware of her situation.
Because Liwia hadn’t disappeared accidentally.
She had handed her over.
Deliberately.
And everyone involved seemed perfectly comfortable with that fact.
Everyone except Tiffany.
Elizabeth slipped the tablet under her arm and stood.
“Shall we?”
For a second, Tiffany considered asking more questions.
Then realized she wasn’t even sure what she wanted to ask.
So instead, she nodded.
“Okay.”
“Wonderful.”
And with that, Elizabeth began walking.
⸻
The PMA Center felt different without Liwia.
Not worse.
Just different.
More structured.
More formal.
More real.
The two of them moved through quiet hallways lined with soft lighting and elegant décor.
Staff members passed occasionally.
Nobody stared.
Nobody hesitated.
Nobody seemed confused.
No one looked at Tiffany as though she didn’t belong there.
That might have been the strangest part.
A few hours ago, she had been living a completely ordinary day.
Now she was walking through one of the most luxurious beauty centers she had ever seen, wearing a satin robe with the PMA logo embroidered across the chest.
And nobody seemed to think it was unusual.
Not even a little.
The realization left her feeling oddly unsteady.
Who exactly was she supposed to be here?
A man?
A woman?
A client?
An employee?
A guest?
A project?
She wasn’t entirely sure anymore.
And the unsettling thing was that nobody else seemed interested in answering the question.
At PMA, people simply treated her as Tiffany.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
⸻
Eventually, Elizabeth stopped in front of a white door.
She didn’t reach for the handle immediately.
She simply turned toward Tiffany.
Unhurried.
Patient.
Professional.
Behind her, elegant silver lettering was mounted beside the doorway.
MAKEUP STUDIO
Tiffany looked at the door.
Then at Elizabeth.
Then back at the door.
Her stomach tightened.
Elizabeth noticed.
Of course she noticed.
But she didn’t comment.
Didn’t rush her.
Didn’t encourage her.
Didn’t pressure her.
She merely waited.
The way someone might wait for a nervous first-time client.
Because in many ways, that was exactly what Tiffany was.
“Sophia is ready whenever you are.”
Tiffany swallowed.
“And… what happens in there?”
Elizabeth tilted her head slightly.
“A makeup consultation.”
The answer was delivered with complete sincerity.
No mystery.
No drama.
No hidden meaning.
Just a simple professional service.
As though she had said:
A manicure.
A haircut.
A skincare appointment.
Nothing more.
And somehow, that made it feel even bigger.
Because for Tiffany, it wasn’t just makeup.
It was a question.
Several questions.
Questions she hadn’t quite found words for yet.
Elizabeth, however, seemed perfectly content to let her keep them.
Without another word, she opened the door.
Soft light spilled into the corridor.
Inside, everything looked immaculate.
Large Hollywood mirrors framed by warm bulbs.
Rows of carefully organized brushes.
Crystal jars.
Palettes.
Beauty products arranged with surgical precision.
And at the center of the room…
One chair.
Waiting.
Elizabeth stepped aside and gestured toward it.
“Take your time.”
Her voice remained calm.
Steady.
Safe.
And perhaps that was what finally made Tiffany move.
Not because anyone had convinced her.
Not because Liwia had instructed her.
Not because Elizabeth expected anything from her.
But because, for the first time that day, nobody seemed to want anything at all.
Only for her to sit down.
And see what happened next.
The moment Tiffany crossed the threshold, Elizabeth’s role seemed to end and someone else’s began.
A young woman looked up from a black PMA folder.
Twenty-four, maybe twenty-five.
Dark hair pinned into a neat bun.
Impeccable makeup.
Bright eyes.
The kind of smile that appeared naturally, as if she genuinely enjoyed meeting people.
And perhaps she did.
She closed the folder.
“Hi, Tiffany.”
The familiarity of hearing her name startled Tiffany slightly.
The woman smiled wider.
“Welcome to PMA.”
Then she pointed at the makeup chair.
“Sit down, sweetheart.”
Not flirtatious.
Not patronizing.
Just effortless.
Like she’d said it a thousand times before.
Tiffany hesitated for half a second.
Then sat.
The chair was surprisingly comfortable.
Sophia moved around the station with the confidence of someone completely at home.
Brushes.
Palettes.
Products.
Everything already laid out and waiting.
She opened the folder again.
“Elizabeth told me you were nervous.”
Tiffany let out a small laugh.
“Is it that obvious?”
“A little.”
Sophia glanced up.
“Don’t worry. Most people are.”
She flipped a page.
Tiffany caught a glimpse of her own name printed on the top.
Below it sat several sections and notes she couldn’t quite read from where she was sitting.
Sophia tapped the folder lightly.
“Before we start, I just need to go through a few PMA presentation requirements.”
Tiffany blinked.
“Requirements?”
“Mm-hm.”
Sophia sounded completely casual about it.
Like she was discussing the weather.
“Client-facing standards.”
She turned another page.
“Company standards.”
Another page.
“Presentation guidelines.”
Tiffany stared at her reflection.
Somehow none of this sounded like a beauty treatment anymore.
Sophia didn’t seem to notice.
Or perhaps she noticed and simply wasn’t concerned.
To her, this was routine.
“Relax.”
She smiled.
“We’re not trying to turn you into somebody else.”
She stepped closer and studied Tiffany’s face for the first time.
Professionally.
Carefully.
Not judging.
Assessing.
The way a photographer might study light.
Or an architect a blueprint.
“Honestly, most of my job is making sure people look like the best version of themselves.”
Tiffany swallowed.
Sophia tilted her head slightly.
“Hm.”
“What?”
“Good bone structure.”
Tiffany stared.
Sophia nodded to herself.
“Nice eyes.”
Another pause.
“We’ll have fun with this.”
Then she reached for a headband.
“And afterwards we’ll take your profile portraits.”
Tiffany frowned.
“My what?”
Sophia looked genuinely confused.
“Your profile portraits.”
As if there were only one possible meaning.
“The ones for your PMA file.”
She smiled again.
Warm.
Bright.
Completely unaware that Tiffany’s brain had just stopped working.
Because for Sophia, this was simply another onboarding session.
For Tiffany…
Nothing about this felt simple anymore.
Sophia smiled.
Warm.
Effortless.
Completely unaware that Tiffany’s brain had just stopped working.
Because for Sophia, this was simply another onboarding session.
For Tiffany…
Nothing about this felt simple anymore.
“Your profile portraits.”
Sophia repeated it as though she had merely mentioned the weather.
“The ones for your PMA file.”
Tiffany blinked.
Her PMA file.
The words hung in the air for a moment.
Sophia, meanwhile, had already moved on.
“Come here, sweetheart.”
She motioned toward the chair.
“Let’s get you settled.”
Tiffany sat.
The chair felt softer than expected.
More comfortable.
More permanent.
As though it had been waiting for her.
Sophia opened the folder again.
“Elizabeth told me you were nervous.”
Tiffany let out a small laugh.
“Is it that obvious?”
“A little.”
Sophia smiled.
Then stepped behind her.
“Chin up.”
Tiffany obeyed automatically.
“Hm.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Sophia’s smile widened.
“You photograph well.”
That wasn’t remotely reassuring.
And somehow that made it worse.
“Okay.”
Sophia set the folder down.
“Close your eyes for me.”
Tiffany hesitated.
Then obeyed.
“Good.”
The soft fabric of a headband brushed against her forehead.
Sophia adjusted it carefully.
A practiced movement.
Quick.
Precise.
“There we go.”
When Tiffany opened her eyes again, Sophia was already reading from the folder.
“As I was saying…”
She turned a page.
“PMA has presentation standards.”
“Standards?”
“Mhm.”
Sophia nodded.
“Client-facing standards.”
Another page.
“Company standards.”
Another page.
“Presentation guidelines.”
The words sounded strangely official.
Far more official than Tiffany had expected from a beauty appointment.
Sophia looked up.
Immediately noticing the expression in the mirror.
“Oh.”
A grin appeared.
“You thought this was a beauty day.”
Tiffany looked away.
“That wasn’t a no.”
Sophia laughed softly.
“Oh sweetheart…”
She shook her head.
“Liwia really does enjoy her dramatic entrances.”
Before Tiffany could answer, Sophia gently touched beneath her chin.
⸻
“Look at me.”
Tiffany looked up.
“There you are.”
Sophia studied her face for a second.
Not critically.
Professionally.
“Good symmetry.”
Tiffany blinked.
“Nice eyes.”
Another pause.
“We’ll have fun with this.”
Then Sophia stepped back toward the counter.
“Nobody is trying to turn you into somebody else.”
She selected a few products almost absent-mindedly.
Like a musician picking up familiar instruments.
“Honestly?”
She glanced over her shoulder.
“Most of my job is making sure people look like the best version of themselves.”
Tiffany watched her reflection.
Watched the lights.
The robe.
The pink room.
The woman moving confidently around it.
Somehow everything felt unreal.
And oddly comforting at the same time.
Sophia returned.
“Look down for me.”
Tiffany did.
“Perfect.”
A moment later:
“Close your eyes.”
Tiffany obeyed again.
“Good girl.”
The words slipped out naturally.
Without thought.
Without intent.
Simply habit.
Sophia continued talking as though she hadn’t said anything unusual.
“Clients don’t choose makeup.”
A pause.
“They choose people.”
Another pause.
“Presentation helps.”
Something soft touched Tiffany’s skin.
“Confidence helps more.”
Tiffany found herself smiling despite herself.
“There.”
Sophia stepped back again.
“See?”
“What?”
“You’re already less nervous.”
Tiffany opened her mouth to disagree.
Then realized she wasn’t entirely sure she could.
Sophia smiled knowingly.
Picked up her folder once more.
And continued exactly where she’d left off.
As though Tiffany had been part of PMA for much longer than a single afternoon.
Sophia finally closed the folder.
The familiar click seemed to signal the end of something.
Or perhaps the beginning.
She took a step back and studied Tiffany for a moment.
Not critically.
Professionally.
Then she smiled.
“Hm.”
Tiffany immediately looked up.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Sophia folded her arms.
“I think you’ll do just fine.”
Before Tiffany could ask what that meant, her eyes drifted toward the mirror.
And for a moment…
She simply stared.
Not because she saw someone else.
But because she didn’t.
The face looking back at her was still unmistakably Tiffany.
Only calmer.
Sharper.
More deliberate.
As though someone had taken the version of herself she carried in her head and finally allowed it to exist outside of it.
Sophia noticed the silence.
Of course she did.
But she didn’t interrupt it.
She simply picked up the folder and smiled.
“Good.”
A brief pause.
“Now let’s get your profile photos done.”
And just like that, PMA moved on to the next step.
