In 2023, some My Nintendo members received emails on their birthdays, featuring a group of Toads, that were supposed to contain a special reward of 300 Platinum Points.

However, some regions were exempt from this promotion, but for an unknown reason, instead of simply not receiving the email, the users received emails that appeared to contain a gift but then apologized for the offer not being available. In addition, the message contains a typographical error, spelling "is" as "in".

In Super Mario Galaxy, the battles against Bowser take place on spherical planetoids where Bowser must be tricked into Ground Pounding the blue spots on the floor, causing him to break the glass and get burned by the lava underneath.
