Is there anything more glorious than a spectacular sunrise? ☀️ 1) you have to get up early for it; which isn’t always easy when the alarm goes off at 5:45am on a vacation day. I tried waking the kids but Soph gave me the “Thanks, I’ll pass.” 2) I suggested we walk when Pax wanted to drive to the Yavapi spot. YIKES! We were walking through forest which felt like a really long time. We did spy some Elk 👈🏼🦌as the sun was starting to peak. Family photo ✔️ I am beyond enthralled to have made it to the Grand Canyon with my family. We seem to be busier than ever these days between work, school, sports and socializing. This is what behind the scenes of one of the fashion shows I work on looks like. 👗👠👚👖👡 This is one of 4 main racks we work. Each one sorted by model, outfit by numbered scene and organized sequence from lowest to highest. <> For instance: Victoria outfits #’s 1, 15, 27, 45 & 54. *outfits pulled and assigned in line-up week before show. Each outfit is unbuttoned, unzipped, steamed and tags are hidden. After clothes are placed we make sure our models have a mirror. Usually propped up on a chair. Each model comes hair and make-up ready with their own accessories. 💇🏼‍♀️💅🏼💄Unless we have them in hats or sunglasses we’ll clothes pin those on to outfits. 🕶👒When models arrive for their call time they’ll try on outfits to ensure fit, ease or difficulty of outfits. This way our dressers can make note and assist during show. 👘🧣At that time models coordinate accessories. Then we reset clothes. Our boss lady will make final decisions on jewelry and shoes if we have options. Liberty, Liberty, Liberty! 🗽🎙🔊We loved Aloha 🌺 Friday’s when we were stationed in Honolulu, Hi 1993 - 1995 onboard Coast Guard Cutters Jarvis and Rush. We LIVED for “Trop Hours” Liberty at 1300 🕰 (1pm) for those that know military hours. 📷: @tammye1979 The Royal Hawaiian is a historic landmark nicked named “The Pink Palace of the Pacific” opened on February 1st, 1927 and is located on Oahu along the beaches of Waikiki. Paxton and I spent our wedding night 💍🤵👰🏽there but not before we had a few shipmates join us in our room to enjoy the view.
