my back was doing so good for so long and now all the pain is just back x10 and idk what to do. i think i’ve been exerting myself physically too much (lifting heavy things at work, going out after a heavy lifting work day, going out again the next day) and now my body is shutting down. anyways i will be forcing myself to rest tomorrow which means… i shall stay in bed reading and writing probably. maybe do some revisions on These Bones and work on the new chapter

He observed Zoro, watching him explore the cabinets, the drawers, and the silverware. He rested his head on his arm. He was tired already. “Zeff… has better things to worry about. He shouldn’t be sending you to check on me. Did he offer you something? Payment, or…?”

Zoro looked up from the plate of food he was making and considered Sanji for a good long moment. His dark, almost gray eyes bore into Sanji’s. “Just… a friendly neighbor favor. I’m paying him back for making dinner the other night.” Sanji tore his eyes away, chewing his lip.

Friendly neighbor favor? That was totally unfair.

i, however, forgot, when i started this, that traveling and the holidays take it out of me and I become fatigued and the back pain creeps up on me and I am down for the count.

Zoro with a really tough, stoney exterior, but is secretly not-so secretly a big softy. Sanji who acts fine and nonchalant and even forces himself to be ridiculously exuberant at times, but is actually just so so tired.

Zoro who doesn’t understand why Sanji snaps at him and can’t stop himself from snapping back, until he sees the sag in Sanji’s shoulders and hears him sigh for the 10th time in 5 minutes. And he just wants so desperately to wrap Sanji up in his arms and make him feel safe and calm but he doesn’t know how, because he knows deep down he’s so unapproachable because of his looks.

And at this point they’ve set precedent with each other- they’re only good enough for bickering, not for gentle touches and soft kisses like Zoro so desperately wants to do to the blonde.
