Hey everybody,
I’ve had a lot of people asking about what we plan to do about the purge. Don’t worry! If this blog gets taken down, I’ll find a new place for our tutorials. I’m fetishweekly on Twitter as well, so if everything gets moved, I’ll post the new link on there

Hey, I'm wondering what is the best diameter (I don't know if we call it that, sorry) for rope bondage. I'm thinking about buying some jute or hemp rope, what is your advice for this? I already had experience with cotton rope, but it is 8mm I guess, and it seems too much for my body. Also answering what do you use can be helpfull. Thank you so much s2
Rope diameter –thickness of the actual cord– is all about your own personal taste, and/or what sort of play you feel like doing. Lots of folks have a variety of rope widths in their kit for different kinds of scenes. The thinner it is, the more it’ll bight into the skin.So if pain is your pleasure, go for a smaller diameter. But that also means it won’t be the ‘fully bound/totally covered in rope’ feeling (unless you do A LOT of wraps/details with the skinny rope)It also requires more vigilance to prevent injury from overly tight wraps.
The thicker it is, the more constricted/cocooned the sensation will be.The individual wraps are harder to feelKnots will be ENORMOUS (so they’re usually not used)And it’ll be heavy on the tied person’s body.If compression and confinement are your pleasure, go for a wider diameter. It also depends on the type of rope. The same diameter of rope in cotton will feel much fluffier and thicker than if it’s a jute rope, or coconut rope.TLDR – from what I’ve seen, the most common diameter for jute is 6mm. That’s what I use regularly, and I find it’s good “rope for the sensation of rope” size (not too thin and pinchy, not too thick and bindy)When in doubt, go to a hardware store and buy a little strand of different types/diameters of rope and see how they feel (just as a little arm wrap or something like that)Make sure to have shears ready whenever you tie with a new material though! If you have any other questions I’m always happy to answer!♥ Hazel[This is all for floor play– diameter for suspension purposes is something that has to be learned and seen in person — for fun and safety! :)]

Weekend reblog ❤
Is is possible for you to annotate all of the Tutorials with about how much Rope would be needed? it Is on some of the earlier ones and is really quite helpful.
I’ve actually started using 20 foot lengths and just adding as needed. That’s the reason newer tutorials don’t have a fixed measurement for the rope.I find it a lot easier to work with– at first I used huge bundles, upwards of 50 feet, and it was really unwieldy during the first part of tying. Also, the flexibility of multiple lengths allows the tie to be used on any body; the amount of rope will change depending on the dimensions of the tied person.
The way to extend is to make a lark’s head (below) with the next bundle of rope, and secure that loop over the tails (end knots) of the rope that needs to continue.
I hope that helps!
