Mind melts

Smoke spilling from ears

Thinking and thinking and

I don't think I can think anymore

Eyes hurt with seeing too much

Yet somehow still missing a vital sign

Vial of poison shell game sleight of hand

Going down in the middle of the night

The blues are back in town

Bearing hallucinations and grim news

Angel on my shoulder and devil

In the details duking it out

While another bout is battled

Logic and emotion vie for victory

Though I thought my skin had calloused

An optical illusion, still paper thin

Desensitizing doesn't make sense

When the walls seem to be closing in

How a restless wrecked head can spin

Wide awake at 3 am again yet too tired
