Thinking about the music room murals, and losing my mind. There's something about the fact he left them unfinished at Skyhold, and seemingly picked up where he left off at the Lighthouse. He not only finished the last panel of the rotunda- he added to the story.

I think this one is meant to depict Trespasser. Which is so interesting on two levels. One, because it shows his investment in the Inquisitor. The codex about the murals at Skyhold quotes Solas saying that, "Skyhold is his/her fortress (meaning of course the Inquisitor). These are his/her actions." His commitment to telling their story didn't end when he left them behind. He finished the tale by adding the wolf to the left of the door and Trespasser.

Rhela'vhen has been on a journey, ever since she graced the world with her presence.

A journey of finding not only the courage to do what is necessary, but also the courage to find herself and look deep within.

This journey has brought friends, found new family, healing..

And also laughter, knowledge and revelations.

The road has always been perilous, on the edge. There was no time for second thoughts or doubts. The urgency of the world around bled into every decision and every step taken.

Sometimes, every heartbeat felt like the last one. Heartbreak has left in its wake a more resilient soul, and shattered fragments of what could have been. What could still be.

King of Horses ran 450 fucking miles at almost entirely a gallop, without more than a few minutes rest, in 4 nights and basically was like "wait why are we stopping?" when Gandalf took him into the city and he ended up in a stable.

This was not his top speed, nor did it push any limits on his endurance.

I was never going to want to let Solavellan go, but at least they'll be happy together, forever.

What’s in Solas’ bag during DAI? I think he’s a sentimental guy.

1. A well worn green canvas backpack with leather straps and large practical pockets. It can fit everything and then some.

2. An intricate pure gold chatelaine with 6 chains. Gifted to Solas by June long before the betrayal of Mythal and all the other issues with the Evanuris. Solas kept it as a reminder of his early hot blooded advisor days with Mythal, carefully storing it away in a cloth. I imagine he would wear this to the Winter Palace to relive some old memories and enjoy a smoke with his fruity little drinks. Objects are: lead pencil, smoke holder, small multipurpose knife, flint and striker.

3. Sturdy wooden mug and small satchel of a tea mix which specifically does not contain any elf root. It is highly caffeinated with a sweet after taste, think Pur-eh.

4. Fresco tools. Spruce whisk, brushes, palette knife.

5. Coil candle made of beeswax. To read with at night, saving the effort of having to conjure light.

6. An extra pair of leg wraps and clasps.

7. A keepsake of someone very dear, and another self-castigating reminder.

8. Silverpoint stylus for sketching.

9. A leather bound journal Solas began keeping after he woke from uthenera. It contains notes on Ancient and modern Elven language and occasional sketches. There are sketches of Ilaan inside, mostly of her doing mundane things around camp and Skyhold. He shares this journal with Ilaan to help her learn to speak and write Elven better.

10. One (1) single needle for mending clothes, plus some thick thread.
