Femme Side

I should probably be careful with how often I speak of how girliness equals happiness because that’s not always true.  I am a happier person in general when I get to be myself.  I have a sense of contentment when I’m dressed girly.  I have a delight within my soul when I’m acting girly.  For the most part, it could be true than I’m a happier person when I can be girly.  But the better way to think of it might be to say that I a much more pleasant person when I get to shine in femininity.  If people would give me the chance, they’d probably find out that they’d rather be around my girliness than my disguise of manliness.

I’m not really into the fancy, formal, glamour of girliness, but I do enjoy feeling pretty.  I’m also more of a casual, androgynous, dare I say tom-boyish girly boy.  That’s kind of weird to think of it that way, isn’t it? 

Regardless, even in my most casual or workout dress, I like feeling pretty.  I don’t necessarily think of myself as pretty, but that’s more vanity speaking than my heart.  I’m an athletic guy.  I don’t have soft features.  I’m not chiseled by any means, but I’m also not dainty.  So, to appear “pretty” as a girl would, it just doesn’t happen for me–at least not as I would wish (again, vanity speaking).  I love to feel pretty, though.  I love the process, the clothing, the trying and testing to be pretty.  I love the lighter and softer fabrics.  I love the fit and flow of women’s clothing. I like to feel decorated instead of just being bland. 

So, even though I’m not hooked into the evening gowns and heels and I may feel more in place casually with comfort and cuteness, I still like to feel pretty.  I’m a girly boy.  I like to feel pretty.
