When men make this statement about male nature, they always speak with the assumption that the only possible outcome is our surrender. But that's not only not inevitable -- it's not rational unless you're operating from a male agenda. When feminists make similar statements or have similar suspicions, we have very different ends in mind (namely, separatism and/or reducing and/or altering the male population by various means).

I go back and forth about Louis, but he is definitely an adept at cultural satire. He said this on his most recent HBO special; his delivery is hilarious and the commentary is spot on. But, in the background, I could hear an overwhelming chorus of menâs laughter. I couldnât help but wonder how many of them realized this is absolutely true, not just a joke. Random, but W4W internet dating will usually just garner responses from men, MTFs, M/F couples (and if it's not the male half writing directly with explicit suggestions I couldn't find less appealing I suspected it was the male half posing as the female half, especially when they mentioned certain fetishes) and bored married (or engaged, or with boyfriends, and/or with kids) women, right? (Even if you specify that you're not looking for any of the above, obviously.) That's mostly what I recall from OKCupid. It may have improved as the stigma of using online personals is dissipating, but then again, I've moved to a new geographical area where the selection is almost guaranteed to be abysmal.
That, or the younger "feminine" women who seemed real and weren't involved with a man/didn't have kids would specify that they want someone older or "butcher/studlier" than I am, whereas the ones looking for another "feminine" woman were with a man. You know, the ones who seem to think being bisexual means you need to be with both at the same time. Even if they specify that "my husband doesn't need to be involved in any way" I won't mesh well with them, as I only want to date women and am not looking for a polyamorous arrangement or being someone's girlfriend on the side of their "primary" M/F relationship.
These are my cynical recollections from 3-6 years ago and I could be off regarding 2013's online dating scene, but it makes me wonder if I should ever bother with it again.
