"cuba abandoned socialism!" shut the fuck up. that sentence alone tells me you have no understanding of cuba's situation. if you're going to speak with that much confidence, at least try knowing what the fuck you're talking about first.

To add onto this, I was in a conversation with around 8 trots (I'm in a trotskyist org because the ML orgs in Ireland are frankly dead to say the least) and this topic arose, they said that this is why we need an international revolution and whatnot, and how the Cuban government has failed. and I got the chance to ask them what would the solution be? Apart from creating economic reforms, what is the other option. Because you either stay in poverty under a cruel blockade or you make reforms, simple as. And they weren't able to give me an answer on what they should have done instead, after bullying Cuba for doing reforms, they couldn't give a solution.
