Fearless Faun

☯ He’d nod his head, just observing the other’s mannerisms, how they moved, how their hair flipped, he just couldn’t look away.

However when the other spoke their request, he’d chuckle, leaning into her, his face inches away from her own, “Oh….did I forget to mention that this is partially a nude beach? Perhaps you should partake in that hmm? Show off those lovely thighs and hips….or you could just stay here with me…” he’d remark, a dark snicker escaping his form. ☯

She blinked dumbly at Genji for a moment, then glanced down at her clothes. “I suppose I could be persuaded to stay?” She offered up, figuring it was worth a shot. Such a cutie, and such a flirt at that...why not? She always wanted to broaden her horizons, after all.

☯ A soft chuckle.

“A flirt is someone who speaks soft words and does not have the looks nor the charm to back it up, I’m a lover, one who loves many and makes sure to treat each and every love with the same amount of love as the last.” he’d whisper, before leaning over and pressing his lips against the other’s cheek and slowly pulling away.

“Now a doe as beautiful as yourself, you deserve much more than just flirtation.” he’d coo at the other, a small snicker escaping his form after speaking. ☯

“Oh do I?” She managed to ask, trying to sound dry and aloof, but it mostly came out garbled and shaky. The world outside was so much different than what she was used to, and when faced with such a smooth bastard, it was a little hard to handle.

Uncertain enough, she dragged some of her hair over her shoulder, fiddling with it, just to have something to do with her hands. She hadn’t expected to come onto the beach and stumble across someone like Genji, some kind of playboy that knew exactly how to make her fumble, but here she was.

☯  He’d nod his head as he closed the door behind the other, and soon he made his way out to the patio in the back, or at least the little walkway he had attached to his house so he could look out.

“I like it here, it’s quiet, and it allows me to gaze upon the sea, whether that is to meditate or just to gaze, and it also allows me to meet some very lovely people, and doe such as yourself, such as yourself indeed.” he’d remark, gazing towards the other with the same soft smile, his cheeks red with color from the sun and heat. ☯

What a flirt. Smiling and shaking her head, she walked more assuredly over the solid floor, joining the man on the patio, leaning against the railing beside him. Nice view, nice and peaceful...She really should consider finding some place to settle for a while, but the lure of traveling far and wide was far too tempting to someone who had spent most of their life being cooped up.

☯ He’d let out a load of snickers from his mouth as the other spoke about dying.

“Yeah it seems as though lots of people I know have come back from the dead, so don’t feel bad, I’m not technically alive, but damn if I don’t look good for a half dead man eh?” he’d remark, nudging her with a shoulder before patting her once again on the shoulder, soon pacing towards the beach, gesturing for her to follow him to a small hut of sorts, like a small home on the waterfront.

“Come on in.” he’d remark, waving a hand. ☯

“Seems its a popular trend,” she laughed weakly, trailing after, arms pinwheeling as she stumbled through the sands. Awkward. Totally awkward. Clearing her throat, she managed to make it to the hut, bracing herself on the wall and only barely managing to make it not look like she was a bumbling drunk. Barely.

☯ Another small laugh would escape the Nomad as he saw the other’s cheeks lighting up quickly, his smile quickly widening as he patted her on the shoulders. “Red’s a good color.” he’d whisper as he leaned in before leaning back and folding his arms, gazing around a bit.

“Faun, a lovely name for a lovely doe.” he’d state, before nodding his head, “Good choice, this place is beautiful, and why yes, I am a local of sorts, though technically I’m a local of everywhere, a Nomad’s home is wherever he goes, but hopefully that place he goes is not a grave, been there done that.” he’d remark with a snort. ☯

Goddamn flirt. She let out a faint gurgle as he acknowledged that she was as red as an apple, turning her face away. Weak, weak woman. Back before, men flirted by talking about how big their mansion was or if she wanted to go for a ride on their yacht. Boring. This was...a little better.

☯ He’d continue to grasp onto the other’s hand, allowing them to get steady, and yet he still lingered, maybe enjoying the touch, but eventually he let go, before shaking his head at the other’s question.

“Of course you aren’t, and it’s not my private beach, it’s for those who are seeking peace….and a good bit of relaxation.” he’d remark, a small chuckle escaping his mouth as he lifted up her hand once again, pressing his lips against her hand before pulling away.

“My name is Genji, it’s a pleasure to meet you madame.” he’d remark with a soft smile. ☯

Oh. The lingering touch was enough to make her blush, but the kiss and his words and his smile certainly didn’t help. She coughed nervously as she felt her cheeks heat up horrifyingly quickly.

“Um. I’m Faun. Well, Sep actually, but I go by Faun. Which is why I...told you. Um. Nice to meet you too?” Damn charmers were going to be the death of her. Getting out of her old life had done nothing to prepare her for other personalities. She was...well, as innocent as a lamb in some matters. Charming men were one such matter.

☯  “It appears someone is having a bit of trouble with their hooves.” a voice would remark from nearby, and soon the owner of the voice would reveal themselves, being a short man, in shorts and a tank top.

“You were probably expecting some conniving villain to appear from the darkness and taunt you weren’t you? Nope, just a nomad in shorts.” he’d remark, a smile spreading across his face before he paced over to the other, offering a hand to help them. ☯

“Wouldn’t be the first time,” she laughed softly, eyeing up the nomad before taking his hand, using it to steady herself and haul her hooves out of the sand, trying to splay the cloven shape wider, to support her.

“Thanks for the assist, nomad,” Faun finally decided to stay, unsure if she was still allowed to use his hand or if she was required to let it go. Either way, he was better dressed for the beach than she was. She had a bathing suit packed in her backpack, but she still had yet to change in to it.

Well she was stupid. Last time she was on a beach, she had feet. Now she had these damn narrow hooves and she looked like a baby deer again. Each step sank far deeper than she wanted it to, making her wobble and flail as she just tried to reach the crystal clear water.
