I have this new respect for @taylorswift. I always have but this is different. After watching Miss Americana, I feel more relaxed. Like I’m such a big fan but have a busy life and feel inadequate because I have an awkward fan account and am not a good “super fan,” social media wise. It doesn’t match my love in my heart. But after this documentary I feel like, you know, like Taylor does now:
We don’t have to be a certain way or how people think we need to be. We don’t need “approval” of what we offer to still have what we offer. It doesn’t invalidate our love. My love. I can love Taylor in my own way and just because it isn’t as loud as it is in my heart doesn’t mean it’s not real.
I’m not going to obsess about meeting her. She’s living her best life. I’m living mine and supporting her still in every way I can so she can continue this way. And that’s what she wants. Not to be “on” all the time but to cook at home and drink wine with her mom. (Btw Aldi has winking owl wine for $2.59 and it’s me and my mom’s jam).
So swifties... Love Taylor. Support Taylor. And let Taylor live her life. And if you don’t meet her, or heck can’t even make it to a show, don’t let that define your love for her. The number of shows you’ve been to doesn’t equal your heart.
Fetus Fan,
Felina
