Rose hated waiting. She got antsy when she wasn't doing anything. But it seems she didn't have to wait long, because soon after, the doors opened, and in the new guardian walked.
Not New though. No. It was Him. Why was it him?
She felt her heart that had slowly been trying to fix itself, shatter all over again. The man she loved. She very much loved, but didn't want to be with her. The man who she was always drawn to, and yet needed to be as far away as possible from him, because being so close, and not having him was like her own personal hell. Had she really been that bad in life that Karma was now kicking her ass?
"Lissa?" Rose said, tearing her gaze from him. He looked good. Really good. Much better than the last time she had seen him. She had stopped asking for info about him the moment they had started the tour, refused to talk about him, hell, even chastised herself when she thought about him. "Can we talk?" She asked a little harshly, grabbing the blondes arm and pulling her to one side. Ok. She probably shouldn't of pulled her like that, she was royal, and Rose was her guardian.
"Did you ask him to come?" She asked, her voice stern, her eyes dark with anger.
"Lissa... we came on this damn tour to get away from everything that was him, every thing that reminded me of him, and you bring him here?" She asked. She wasn't being the quietest, she was sure that Dimitri could hear. The God of a Dhampir had incredibly good hearing. Its what made him one of the best.
"I can't believe you did this, I can't believe you would..." Rose stopped and pinched the bridge of her nose. " I came with you because you said it would help me clear my head, you chose this damn tour to get me away from court and now.. this?" She asked, motioning to him. "You are meant to be my best friend, you always said that we came before any title."
Rose shook her head, lowering her hand. "You forced him here? Why? For entertainment? I... I'm going, you know I can't do this, I can't be that heart broken girl again, and I can't..." She stopped, her eyes drifted to him. "I guess my leg of this tour is done."
She could feel the tears threatening to come to the surface. She had said her goodbyes, she had left him to continue without her, to heal without her, because thats what he wanted, because when he looked at her, he regretted everything. He Regretted her.
Rose closed her eyes and turned "I'll pack my things." She said, and walked towards the bedroom.
"Rose.. wait.." Lissa called, but Rose held her hand up, stopping her, she didn't need to tell her how hurt, how broken she suddenly became again.
She slammed the door, pulled out her bag and started to pack her few things.
"I thought I was doing what was best." Lissa said, turning to Dimitri, expecting him to say something, anything.
