Ilya grins, chuckling to himself. It's more of a challenge than anything. But he wouldn't say no to Shane being a little more assertive if he wanted to be.

Shane would do almost anything Ilya asked, the other hockey player meant more to him than he'd like to admit. Even if he might fumble, he'd still attempt to be assertive. Maybe Ilya would think it's cute.

Ilya grins at his phone like an idiot. He really should get back to his home, but he doesn't want to stop talking to Shane. Fuck.

Shane sent the last message and arched an eyebrow slightly. Could he be mean more often? Intentionally? The next text stopped all of his overthinking, for now.
