When Mars is in Cancer, emotions arrive with a viscerally flammable artillery, like an invasion from within, prepared for an uncompromising confrontation that often pulls the individual into a fierce psychological wrestle. There is nowhere to hide from her own subconscious siege, taken hostage by emotional demands that are absolute and non-negotiable. The external world starts to burn equally as much as she is febrile within, sabotaging her attempts to reach out to someone else with phantom interrogations that can be completely unravelling; such as that they will never understand, she is too messed up to ever be helped, or that they’ll only end up hurting her in the end anyway.

Forgiving and forgetting is easier in gesture than in practice when Mars is in Cancer. When memories of maltreatment, injustices, and cruelty at the hands of others surface, so too does the feeling of residual poison, deep emotional scarring, and vengefulness. These vindictive grievances can stem back as far as childhood, and it’s common that the earlier these events occurred, the more vulnerable that she was, the greater the imprint of memory and the greater these feelings rise too. Interactions in her adult life with oppressive, dominating, and exploitive types can embody the shadows of early encounters, returning her to that feared little girl state, and offering stark reminders of old wounds she’d rather forget.

And while this combat provided many of the resources that underlie her remarkable inner strength, none of it came to be developed easily. Though, that is also why it’s inviolable, impenetrable, and unbreakable to the very fires that instilled it.

The Mars in Cancer individual can be mostly nocturnal, potentially experiencing a listlessness in the daytime with spikes of energy occurring after sunset. Some individuals may be susceptible to stomach and metabolic ailments, specifically those induced by stress and increased cortisol such as gastric ulcers and fluid retention, along with inflammatory breakouts, nervous rashes, and hot flashes. Earlier this morning (at 12:03am ET) Venus moved into Gemini, opening the door for Uranus' entry on Saturday.

When she enters Gemini there is an intriguing square between a 4° Taurus Sun and a 4° Leo Moon. 4° is a Uranus/Aquarius ruled degree, a fellow Fixed sign with Taurus and Leo. This lets me know that Venus will be working with Uranus to help us "find our people."

It's good to have some people in your life to do NOT think like you. It keeps you on your toes, and if this is someone you can have a respectful debate with, can keep you mentally sharp.

But we all need people who think like us as well. Humans are social creatures, and to be able to discuss similar ideas and concepts is necessary. Certainly there is the temptation to create an "echo chamber," but it also serves us to have collaborative thoughts and ideas.

If you have been worried there's no one out there who "thinks" like you do, there is an invitation from Venus to think otherwise. There are others who share your thoughts, and would like to share with you. And there are others who would learn much from you, and vice versa.

While the rest of the astrology world is going to refer to this New Moon (which occurred at 7:51am ET this morning) as the most Aries New Moon of any. And while that is true, every New or Full Moon must be interpreted in the context of longer cycles.

Aries is an invitation to take action. However, Aries as an energy will tend to take action simply for action's sake, disregarding the consequences or long-term effects. Given Aries also rules the ego, it's a reminder that ego tied to something "higher" if more effective and makes for a happier life.

I invite you on this New Moon @ 27° Aries (and 27° is the highest Aries ruled degree) to take your action higher. To ignore what the majority of the world is doing, for they have no alignment to anything other than the surface world around them. 27° Aries is the invitation to engage with action, power, energy and movement from a totally new perspective.

In my world when I align my action to my relationship with God Universe life flows easier and more productively.

I am born with Neptune in Scorpio. Do NOT try to bullsh*t me about things dealing with the non-physical realm. I'm not saying I'm always right or know it all, but I am saying I know when someone's trying to pull the spiritual wool over my eyes.

Neptune moved into Pisces in 2012, and I remember as a budding Astrologer being concerned about the spiritual bullsh*t and delusion this transit would bring. Neptune in Pisces always does, just like it did in the 1840s and 1680s, the last times Neptune was in Pisces.

Today at 12:38pm ET Neptune moves full time into Aries, a place it briefly visited in 2025.

Neptune in Pisces gives individuals a rare opportunity to align with God Universe in deep and intimate ways. But what that requires in terms of inner discipline is something only a few align to. It is incredibly rough, and many are unable to handle the "raw truth" aspect of Neptune. And as a consequence they fall victim to delusion.

I know there are times I did.

Now Neptune is in Aries till 2039, and once Saturn joins it on February 13th, we are all going to be confronting delusions based on how our ego couldn't handle the raw truth.

I follow several Home Inspectors on my social media, and boy oh boy have I learned the value of well built structure. It is nothing short of criminal what some of these home builders and their subcontractors do with shotty construction. And it is not hyperbole to say many of today's new builds will be slums in 20 years as the construction, the literal STRUCTURE of these homes, is so poor and dangerous.

And I can't think of a better analogy for today's New Moon at 28° Capricorn at 2:51pm ET. This is the fourth of six New Moons at 28°, a Taurus ruled degree that invites you to "produce."

But Taurus doesn't want shotty, "just get by," kind of production, but production that can maintain, even if life gets a little squirrely and tough.

This is a reminder to invest HEAVILY into the structures that support your life. This includes: • your daily routine of diet, exercise, sleep • machines, electronics or other mechanisms that influence your income or health • the time investment in your processes, i.e. is that the most time efficient way to do something • the impact finances and economics are having on your daily life • relationships with those most influential in your life • and finally, a spiritual structure that helps support and maintain all of the above

Capricorn is a reminder that nothing in this physical existence operates without a structure. Nothing.

Monday - December 22, 2025

Today Venus begins its "out of bounds" period, joining Mars (that started on November 28th). Mercury will join this party on December 29th.

A planet is "out of bounds" when it goes above or below the Celestial Equator, an imaginary sphere around Earth where all celestial objects appear to be located. When a planet is out of bounds it will act in unconventional or life-negating ways. Yet harnessed and channeled in life-affirming ways can be a period of creativity, going against the "accepted," or being extreme in some way.

With both Mars and Venus out of bounds, this adds a new dynamic to the astrology we are currently in. This adds the masculine and the feminine, in a dance that is mean to compliment each other, not dominate or overpower each other.

But it's also a period in which you can get outside of yourself, move into a space that is not YOUR typical expression. Plainly put, this is a period of time in which the timid can feel more confident; the fearful to find their courage. It's a time when you can step into a new persona ... you know, the one you always thought you had but were too afraid to let loose.

But beware, this is also a time in which ego and vanity can go OVER THE TOP. And I'm already seeing this in celebrities, politicians, influencers, etc. who think their poop don't stink, and who want to run roughshod over YOU.

Don't be "alien" to life, nor to the human experience!

That sums up what I think is the bigger message in today's New Moon @ 28° Sagittarius, occurring at 8:43pm ET. A New Moon that's in an uncomfortable inconjunct with Uranus (rx) in Taurus at 28°.

Prior to the New Moon the Nodes will move to 11° Pisces/Virgo, a place that DEMANDS (and yes, I use that word on purpose) transparency and honesty out of your actions.

And this all happens as 3I/ATLAS has its closest approach to Earth since the interstellar object became known to us.

Things are changing in this world at incredible speeds. If you're one resistant to change this is a difficult time for you. You can choose to be a "luddite" or a "grump," complaining about how things were done when you were a kid.

Or you can decide that life is going to be great because you're going to meet it on YOUR TERMS. You're going to live your life in accordance with your beliefs, principles and authenticity.

I never advocate accepting change simply for change sake. We ARE in a place where we would benefit if some old traditions were brought back.

But we're also in a place where needed changes are on the horizon, and we're going to need a great degree of wisdom to know how to handle them.

When our trust is betrayed by others, it is often our trust in SELF that takes the hit.

We question why we didn't see the betrayal coming. We wonder what we did to deserve or attract the betrayal. We start to doubt things such as our inner knowing and gut feelings. Literally, we stop trusting ourselves.

And while this post isn't about "how" to start the process of trusting yourself, I will take this opportunity to remind you that trust in Self is vital, necessary even, to a balanced life.

And that's the reminder from the cosmos today as Venus in Sagittarius trines a retrograde Chiron in Aries at 22°. Earlier this morning Jupiter retrograded back to 22°, putting Chiron and Jupiter in a square with each other.

That Jupiter/Chiron square, combined with today's Venus/Chiron trine, is encouraging you to trust yourself, even if right now you don't. These two alignments remind you that nothing changes until something changes, and that change is YOU.

Beloved ... trust yourself. Even if others have wounded that ability within yourself. Even if it feels that the entire world is not trustworthy.
