Just last May 30, 2016, Singer Adam Lambert somehow found out about Far Young and tweeted about how they have amazing vocas! “Woah, this vocals are NUTS @FarYoungBand,” the pop singer said. And then, later, learning about his grammatical mistake tweeted “These” following his tweet to the band.  Adam’s discovery of Far Young have brought the band sets of new followers and fans that we spotted in one of their latest covers (Perfect Ruin) on YouTube. Christian: And we’re One Direction.

My name is Yana Mangahas, I am 13-years-old, I am a part of #FarYoungFam and I came from the Philippines. Before Far Young was formed, I was a really big Christianator. He was one of my inspirations in singing. I saw him through Twitter and eventually, I learnt a lot of things about him. I learnt that he joined a state singing contest for the first time and won. I was so amazed that’s why he started to become one of my inspirations. And now there’s two more of them; Jackson and Eben. I saw their passion for music and how they are working real hard to make it to their dreams. They love their fans and they always make a way to thank them—us. I think they are the coolest person on the whole surface of the Earth and I love them so much. With them, I saw that no matter where you came from, you have the right to dream and make it happen. You have the right to show your talent and that no one can stop you if what you are doing is what you really want. And so I followed my dreams and I am still making a way to reach them even through everything that is happening in my family and despite every problem that I—we—have. I believe that Far Young will make it big and I believe that one day, I would, too. All thanks to the three of them and my other singing inspirations, and Tim Coons too. For forming them.
