Holy shit! I just started this blog. That was FAST, anon.

Me stating I dislike him was a basic courtesy. So the people who DO like him can avoid a blog that will, more than once, vent the blogger’s dislike for him.

It’s also so I can possibly follow like-minded individuals who share my sentiments regarding the shows villain.

Best character? He’s really not. His cover was bland in the first season. He’s two dimensional at best and he’s not even an interesting bad guy anymore.

Literally any character is more interesting and better than him.

What’s wrong with me? Absolutely nothing. I just do not like him, with very good reasoning. In fact, I feel quite sane for not excusing a neo-nazi for his shitty behavior and actions just because the actor behind him is”handsome” (Which Brett Dalton is average looking at best, in my opinion)

That killed me. Seeing how she was before, seeing how happy she and Andrew were. The way that they were, trying to start a family. They had a house, and clearly a happy marriage, and they were successful in their careers. Everything was right and good for them.

And then you put Melinda May in a situation where she, as a woman trying to get pregnant, trying to have a child of her own, has to take the life of a child. You put her in a situation where that entire world comes crashing down on her, because she’s confronted with a child twisted by the darkness inside of her, and given a terribly powerful gift, a child who is willing to kill not only Melinda - because she was ready for that eventuality - but also so many innocent, trapped agents.

You put her in a situation where she has to take a weapon up and kill a child, because she cannot save that child from herself.

You break her.

Bahrain broke May, it shattered the happy, joking specialist that she was, into the quiet, cold woman barely holding it together. The woman who shut down because she figured out how to hold the pieces of herself together - by turning to ice. The woman who lost the happy, loving marriage, because she lost touch with the parts of her that existed in that world.

Yes, there was everything that went down in Bahrain, but that was already after she had been working in SHIELD for years. She already knew how to fight, was already a specialist.

When she and Andrew were talking about children, and he jokingly goes “so you’re gonna be just like your mom” and her answer was “with a few modifications, yes.” HOW OFTEN DO WE SEE ON SUPERHERO MEDIA A HERO WITH A COMPLETELY LOVING UPBRINGING WITH A MOTHER SHE WANTS TO BE JUST LIKE, EVEN AFTER SHE’S ALL GROWN UP

But Raina having those powers is just perfect. As if she would tell everyone what the future holds. She’ll keep that information to herself. People will come from all around to BEG her to tell them their future.

That May believed that she was so beyond hope that nobody, not even Andrew, could help her. Andrew Garner, who’s repeatedly been mentioned as a top psychologist. 

That she divorced Andrew to give him a shot at happiness, without her.

How much May must love Coulson to go back into the field when Fury asked her to take care of him.

How May, traumatized so deeply by her love of children, still finds it in herself to love and care so deeply about her team, opening her up to potentially not being able to save them.
