Okay but how INSANE is this. They've been official partners for a week. Their first undercover mission they decide to pull a fake marriage AU but instead of being awkward about it they go ALL out with no hesitation. Which one of them came up with this idea? Which one of them said "ey let's nose nuzzle that'll be more realistic!" Did they rehearse all of this ahead of time? Was Finnick just uncomfortably third-wheeling during the rehearsals while dressed up as their baby? Did they try different versions of the undercover act before settling on this? Was it just an excuse to cuddle up while having plausible deniability for acting too cozy with each other? Did the filmmakers watch The X-Files and see the ridiculous amount of "platonic" and "professional" interactions between Mulder and Scully and go "yeah let's do that but with animals" LIKE HOW IS THIS REAL 🤣
