This blog is mainly for Fangbone! related content. For the most part this blog will function as something as an archive of Fangbone! related things here on tumblr. I’ve been inspired by other archive blogs. I will also post some headcanons/stuff of mine here but that’s if I get to it. Please ask me about anything relating to Fangbone! and I promise to respond as soon as I can.

Also heads up, this is a side blog so I will accidentally reblog not Fangbone related stuff but I’ll always make sure to delete them. Will update daily until queue runs out. I hadn’t been asked before and I'm happy you sent me this ask! I organized my response so that the parts are clear. 

My thoughts on FangBill: 

I’m cool with the ship being romantic or platonic as I can see it go both ways. I used to ship it more romantically when I was younger but I opened my eyes more and I like it a bit more platonically now. Either way is good though and the potential is there in my opinion. 

Why did most people back then ship them the most?:

From what I’ve seen and read here on tumblr, it was because they were always together, had a lot of bonding moments, and character development. Plus they were both guys which that genre was and still is very popular. Also the other characters around them arguably didn’t get a lot of screentime or development/focus as consistently as Fangbone and Bill (They are the main characters so it’s understandable.) Plus, Bill and Fangbone kinda fall into the Friends to Lovers trope easily.

I feel like if there were more episodes with each classmate having their own to really shine plus them interacting with Bill and Fangbone separately with a different dynamic I guess then more ships would probably have popped up and maybe compete. Also if Cid had been in more episodes as well as been there as a part of the trio for longer, there would have been more competition in the ships.

Aren’t they kind of brothers?:

Fangbone and Bill are battle brothers not brother brothers. They are not related nor have been adopted/raised together as siblings. They refer to themselves as battle brothers which is similar to battle buddy or comrade in arms. Fangbone and Bill have fought side by side, and develop the bond and trust in each other because of the danger they get into via protecting the Toe. They have a very close bond and because of their experiences in battle together is why they refer to themselves as battle brothers and not just as brothers. I think it’s similar to calling your friends Bro or Sis despite not being related. I feel like the Brothers of Battle episode kinda explains a bit.
