Jiang Cheng goes back to the Burial Mounds after the siege. He finds a ruined settlement and a feverish child. Then Lan Wangji turns up, half dead himself, and Jiang Cheng is not prepared for any of this. He takes them both back to Lotus Pier, because he's not leaving anyone to die on his watch, and they both need medical care.

Then they just end up...staying. At least Lan Wangji is as unimpressed with the situation as Jiang Cheng is.

(Jiang Cheng and Lan Zhan accidentally become co-parents and have to deal with the repercussions)

The plan is simple: intervene before the Winter Soldier can murder Howard and Maria, tranq the Winter Soldier until he’s sufficiently incapacitated, and then drag him off for further study and let the Starks carry on with their fraught, bourgeoisie bullshit.

Perhaps we can hope for a happier ending this time.

Or Wei Wuxian finds a strange artefact while he’s studying in Gusu. Apparently it shows the future.

His eyes sting as he fully grasps that if this works, one Tim will get to reunite with his friends and family, hold them and speak to them again, and work together to unleash all the contingencies and strategies he’s come up with to kick those invading alien assholes the fuck out, and the other Tim, the copy… won’t. He’ll wake up somewhen, isolated and traumatized, without friends, family, or any allies at all.

Well, shit. Whatever, at least Other Tim will know it worked. And he’s never minded the idea of sacrificing himself to save others. He confirms the calibration of the device, and pushes the big red button. Of fucking course there’s a big red button, supervillains are so predictable.

His last thought as the lights explode in his head and he tastes color is I hope computers are a thing whenever Other Tim lands. I’d hate to be put on trial for witchcraft. Fuck it, if I overshoot I’m gonna ride a goddamn dinosaur. Hell. Yes.

Geralt meanwhile attends Comic-Con not for the fanbase but for the rumor of a doppler hired for an assassination. He hates every second of it, from the loud noises to the horrible smells. And he's quite eager to kill the thing and be done with it. It should've been a simple mission anyway. That is, until the doppler attempts to kill some actor and Geralt goes feral for absolutely no reason.

And then, because Destiny is a heinous bitch, shit hits the fan. And Geralt soon finds himself stuck with a very loud and exasperating man as his new anchor.

Well fuck.

Perry should never have made Harry go undercover, even if it was supposedly one of the easiest assignments ever. Nothing Harry is involved in ever stays easy. Plus, both Harry and Perry are so in denial that it can probably be seen from space. Harry/Harmony, Harry/Perry, minor dubcon btw Harry/OC. Same rating and behavior as the film (meaning gratuitous violence, h/c, language and kissing). FYI: the Avenues are a gang that have been present in Glassell Park since the 1950s. There’s your obligatory trivia for the day.
