Like Zuko got married to a rando and had Izumi to produce an heir to the throne because of honor, heteronormativity and old customs while being in love with Sokka. And Sokka probably had a position in the palace so that they could be together and was quite upset with the whole thing... And after that they grew old together? Is this too dark? Idk that's what I headcanon... Isn't it realistic?
