My iPad and Notetaking Method
I’ve been letting my ask box fill up with questions regarding my ipad and electronic note taking because I’ve been working on this masterpost regarding my routines and hopefully it will answer all of the asks at once!
iPad PRO (9.7inch 2016 release) in black, 32GB with original Apple Pencil
What app do you use to take your notes?
Where did you get your iPad case with that cool pencil holder thing?
From Amazon for $9, comes in a lot of various colors and designs (limited stock of certain designs)
Never run out of paper. Use as much space as you want and never waste a single tree.
Upload notes to the Cloud (Google Drive) so you take your notes everywhere
Carry just one iPad rather than like 7 notebooks (save your posture)
Splitscreen view allows you to open a PDF on one half of the screen and take notes in app on the other half
With Apple Pencil, you can rest your palm on the screen and it won’t be janky
Feels like writing on real paper!!!
Look cool and get complements for being so high tech
Apple Pencil charges in your iPad (30 seconds of charging + 15 minutes of use)
DIGITAL BULLET JOURNALLING
Your iPad is your computer. amazing
You can quickly share notes thru emails and stuff
You can fill out forms or worksheets on your iPad
Same time by copy-pasting in notes rather than having to write/draw stuff out multiple times
iPad is freakin expensive
The Apple Pencil is like $100???
The GoodNotes app is $5 but i mean if you could afford the iPad then might as well get the app
If you lose your iPad youll cry
If you don’t get the case with the Apple Pencil holder and you lose your Apple Pencil, you lost your apple pencil. good luck
If you forget to upload notes to the Cloud you’re dead
Sometimes you forget to charge your iPad and youre dead
Sometimes your Apple Pencil runs out of battery in the middle of intense note taking and it sucks
Some people really like flipping thru a notebook rather than feeling limited to swiping and tapping around on the iPad
Apple Pencil sometimes needs *sharpening* aka you accidentally dropped it on the tip and the tip smooshes so you gotta buy a new tip but the damn tip is like $20 for 4
Some people just enjoy scratching a pen to paper (ipad will never be that way)
SO there you have it that’s all I really have to say about my iPad.
Heck yeah!!!! Once you get used to it it’s a gift from study-gods
Hope that was comprehensive! Personally I would recommend the smaller version of iPad Pro (bigger version is a little weird to pull out in lecture cuz it’s just massive) and remember: apple pencil only works with iPad PRO, not air, mini, nada. ONLY PRO.
