Have you encountered the Takarazuka Castlevania stage play that was performed in the Summer? The play is an adaptation of SotN of sorts called Awakening in the Moonlight, in a one act number, which was released on Beyond Live for streaming with official English subs a few days ago. (Sorry for some reason the link won’t paste here). It’s really fun, and all done as an official collab with Konami so the costumes are all really on point (although they did go with the Netflix version looks-wise of Olrox).

Takarazuka is an all-women theatre company in terms of the actresses. Some specialise in idealised male roles (otokoyaku) while others play idealised female roles (musumeyaku). So it’s kinda like the opposite to Shakespearean era theatre or Kabuki in which men play all the roles.

What’s really fun as well is that a majority of the song numbers utilise the game music, like Bloody Tears, Vampire Killer, and Nocturne. You also see snippets of Dracula and Lisa being adorable together.

I’ve heard of it and seen pictures of it, but I haven’t seen the play itself. I was under the impression that there was no place to watch it with English subtitles, but now I’m going to have to go check it out.

My partner and I are disabled queer folk facing homelessness. We finally both have emergency plans in place, but we need moving money. We also will likely need to split up unless we can get enough money to get a place together very quickly. We’ve been together for over six years and we have cats and a dog we take care of as a couple, and we’re trying our best to stay together. All funds will go to moving expenses, household necessities, and rent wherever we end up going. My goal is to get to 5,000 before I stop streaming. I will be trying to stream CONTINUOUSLY until this goal is reached. If i am unable to do so, i will take breaks to sleep, then promptly resume when i awake.
