Falling From Dawn AU Base Info

The Falling From Dawn (or FFD) AU is an AU comic I'm making. It takes place after the ROTTMNT Movie, so heads up for spoilers about that!

At some points, this blog will function as an ask FFD![character] blog! It'll be a good way for me to keep up motivation.

My main goal is to post at least 3 pages a month; one arc per month, basically, but my motivation fluctuates a LOT. I'm also still in school, so this schedule will probably not be stuck to very well, but I'll do my best!

PLEASE feel free to send asks and/or writing requests for the AU! I'd be glad to write things when I'm low on motivation to draw for the comic.

well for starters; i'm not dead! that's cool, right?

this au kinda is though. i'm not really hyperfixated on rottmnt anymore, which is one of the main reasons it hasn't been updated at all, but not only did i powerwash my chromebook by accident, i broke the screen earlier this year.

i still hold a lot of love for this au, as it took up a pretty big chunk of my life, even if it was only for a little while, and i put a lot of effort into what i created for it.

unfortunately, for the above reasons, i think it's finally time to directly say that the Falling From Dawn RotTMNT AU has been discontinued indefinitely.

i owe a lot to those of you who kept following this blog. maybe you were hoping to see updates on how i was doing, maybe you were holding on for au updates that never came... either way, you have my greatest thanks.

maybe someday the hyperfixation will return. i might try to post something for that "open the floodgates" community thing that's going on, but i can't promise anything.

thank you again to everyone who has supported this little project of mine, especially those of you who have been here from the start to the end.

Oh, DEFINITELY the top of the statue of liberty, especially at sunrise. It's always so quiet and peaceful up there; it's a nice place to collect my thoughts, especially after the... situation.

My room in the lair, obviously— What do you mean it has to be outside the lair? Unenthusiastic groan. Probably that one abandoned metro station. There's great acoustics in there, which make it a nice place to dissociate while listening to music and doing work.

The Sunrise Café! Ever since the invasion, humans have gotten a lot more accepting of mutants like us, so it's safe to go into stores 'n stuff now. I've had a lot of little kids come up to me and ask me what it's like to be a turtle, hehe!~

i dont think i'm ever gonna truly continue this au comic and im sorry to those who may have been looking forward to it

powerwashing my chromebook genuinely ruined all motivation i could've had for this project and it hurts a lot to know that i've lost everything i worked so hard to create.

not only that, but i've just kind of lost interest in rottmnt and i have the brand of adhd that doesnt like it when i work on things that dont interest me :(

i'll still take little low-effort doodle requests and am currently working on a few low-quality screenshot edits but don't expect any full-blown artwork or comic panels any time soon.

if i ever regain motivation, you all will be the first to know <3

i’m not sure when or if i’ll get the motivation back for this au. don’t get me wrong, i really REALLY want to continue it! i had a ton planned for it, and i dont want all of the time i spent planning to go to waste!! but i just…

it’s hard to recover from this. when i say i lost everything, i mean everything. it’s taken a lot of motivation out of me.
