One day in the mall, after buying some donuts and coffee.

Sophia: Why dont we just sit here?

Sarah: Okay. Here's great, we can be seen by guys over there :))

Sophia: Haha it's so Sarah. Btw I think I know that guy.

Sarah: Which guy?

Sophia: The guy laughing there.

Sarah: I still can get the one you mean, I see 2 guys laughing.

Sophia: The one wearing jeans jacket.

Sarah: Oh I see, who is he?

Sophia: Randy.

Sarah: He looks older than us, right?

Sophia: Ya, he's a sophomore.

Sarah: Just one year above us.

Sophia: Then he's not too old :))

Sarah: Does he have a girlfriend?

Sophia: I heard he just broke up 2 weeks ago.

Sarah: Wait, does it mean he just broke up for 2 weeks or is it just you that heard it 2 weeks ago

Sophia: You begin to sound like a reporter.

Sarah: Haha maybe I'm good at it.

Sophia: Well, its just me that heard it 2 weeks ago, I dont really know when he exactly broke up

Sarah: So there's a chance he's single more than 2 weeks :))

Sophia: Maybe.

Sarah: He's good looking, go talk to him.

Sophia: Crazy, I dare you to talk to him.

Sarah: Hell no! I have a boyfriend, I'm not single like you, Sophia :))

Sophia: Just some flirt, you're good at it.

Sarah: I'm not like that anymore, I'm tired of fooling guys around.

Sophia: Why, because of the last Karma you just got?

Sarah: Right. It teached me how hurt it is.

Sophia: So sad to hear that *pretending to sob*

Sarah: You said I was such a reporter. Then you're such an actress.

Sophia: :))

Sarah: You look like know him well, just say hi, it may turn out to be some impressive conversation.

Sophia: I don't think he recognizes me.

Sarah: So he doesn't know you, Sophia?

Sophia: I think he doesn't.

Sarah: Then how you could know a ton of things about him?

Sophia: We're friends on BBM, Twitter and I stalk him sometimes.

Sarah: Never have some BBM chat?

Sophia: Never

Sarah: Twitter conversation or some retweet?

Sophia: We retweet each other sometimes and reply mentions each other just a couple of times.

Sarah: I believe he knows you.

Sophia: I wish so but I'm a girl, i won't make the first move.

Sarah: Ya, its like unwritten rule that boys gotta make the first move.

Sophia: And it hurts us most of the time, the boys we expect never make any move.

Sarah: Try to have eye contact with him, if he thinks he knows you and likes you, he'll say hi to you.

Sophia: I'm not that brave to have eye contact.

*Meanwhile in the guys gang

Ryan: I see you look at the girls over there since they sit there.

Randy: I know that girl.

Ryan and friends: Go talk to her, you're single now, you're totally free :))

Randy: I won't, she wont look at me. I don't think she knows me or she knows me but pretends not to know me. I won't look fail in front of you haha.

Ryan: Okay, its up to you.

Friends: She's beautiful, you'll regret one day.

Bahasa inggris, semua orang tau bahasa ini walau belum tentu fasih, dimana-mana kita bisa lihat bahasa inggris dengan mudah. Di film, koran, internet, lagu, majalah, dan banyak lagi.

Yang jadi pikiran bagiku, kenapa harus bahasa inggris yg mendunia? Kenapa gak bahasa indonesia? Tapi entah kenapa, pake bahasa inggris kelihatan cool gitu, gak tau deh apakah orang benar2 paham atau enggak, karena bisa aja gunakan bahasa inggris cuma utk kelihatan keren.

Coba lihat nama-nama band, mau luar negri atau pun band lokal, kelihatan keren aja kalau pake bahasa inggris padahal kalau diterjemahkan ke bahasa kita kadang aneh.

Misal:

30 seconds to mars = 30 detik ke mars

50 cent = 50 sen

a rocket to the moon = roket ke bulan

superman is dead = superman sudah mati

Mungkin masih banyak yg bertanya-tanya, kenapa tombol keyboard distandarkan dengan urutan QWERTY, termasuk aku juga sempat penasaran dengan standar ini, mengapa tidak dibuat ABCDEF sesuai abjad yg tentu lebih mudah?

Karena ketidaktahuan ini lah, aku jadi mencari tahu dan ternyata ada sebabnya. 

Pada awal mula diciptakan mesin ketik oleh Christopher Lapham Sholes (1868), Sholes tidak memakai urutan QWERTY tapi menggunakan urutan alfabet biasa yakni ABCDE dst. Maksud awal pembuatan dengan urutan alfabet biasa tentunya untuk memudahkan pengguna, yang akhirnya malah membuat masalah, loh kok masalah?

Ya, akibat terlalu mudahnya mengetik dengan urutan ABCDE mengakibatkan kegagalan mekanik, tombol yg ditekan terlalu cepat malah menyebabkan jam (batang tombol keyboard saling mengait). Mengetahui masalah ini, Sholes lalu mencari solusi agar tidak terjadi jam lagi sampai akhirnya Sholes membuat urutan menjadi acak seperti QWERTY yang kita kenal sekarang dengan alasan sulitnya mengetik dengan urutan seperti ini, sehingga tidak terjadi jam/selip akibat terlalu cepat mengetik.

Akhirnya susuan seperti pada mesin ketik inilah yang diwariskan pada keyboard komputer dan pada tahun 1973 diresmikan sebagai keyboard standar ISO (Internationa Standar Organization). Hingga sekarang standar ini tidak tergantikan bahkan pada smartphone bertombol QWERTY.

Namun sebenarnya ada urutan tombol lain yg agak populer walau mungkin dari kita banyak yang belum tau, yaitu Dvorak Simplified Keyboard (DSK) yang diciptakan oleh Dr. August Dvorak (1936). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, urutan Dvorak memang lebih efisien dalam mengetik tapi mungkin karena telat diciptakan dan publik sudah terlanjur mengenal QWERTY maka posisinya tetap tidak tergantikan sebagai Standar Internasional.
