"Youâre so goddamn stubborn. It really aggravates me.â
But really, what didnât aggravate him. Still, heâd never admit as such, but he does appreciate the company.  He looks away from him, momentarily just because it seems too much effort to move his head properly and focus on what the angel is doing, in the gleam of his blade that is caught through his hazy vision. He sees the red and then his shoulders raise and tense for whatâs about to happen.
    What has to happen.
And then his lips clamp together to suppress the sound of pain even though a muffled groan releases regardless.  The poison left in the bloodstream is still a problem and will slow him down but heâs no longer bleeding and this causes his natural healing power to close the sound, even though there will likely be a scar for him to reflect on later.
He moves as heâs directed when hisâŚnemesis? Stomps back in. In the faint lighting of the cathedral windows, one can see where its eyes have  been gouged. Well, one is gouged, the other is severely burnt, and just as useless. Kage knew how to cripple an opponentsâ most precious sense. The leviathan ducks low, SNIFFS in their direction. The smell of demon blood is probably more prominent on them then the place where Kage had been lying.
"I donât tell you a lot of things. Youâd have never agreed to let me come here if you knew it was one of them.â
The demonâs voice is low as he grabs the other by the collar and directs him to the wall behind a pillar. The blinded beast follows that movement too, choosing to inspect the pillar with a long snout, poking it until it breaks from what looks like a feeble hold and topples over. It gives them the opportunity to slink along the wall, closer to the exit where it came from.
"Too bad you canât form indoor rain, Angel.â
if they wished to talk about aggravations, castiel would pull out
a list a mile long. but now was not the time or place, not when
he was supporting the demon on one side, while also trying toÂ
maneuver a narrow hiding space that is the column - another
strike against the king - better architecture in the places he chooses
to pick his fights.  the fallen shifts, running his tongue across his
bottom lip as he contemplates the situation, turning from concerned
lover to seasoned tactician.
the beast is injured, expertly so that one of its senses is cut off.
though itâs clear that itâs not used to relying on its others, itâs only
a matter of time before it manages to follow the scent of the blood
trail, or they make just enough noise that it comes directly at them.
itâs serpent-like head whips quickly, and it goes without saying their
time is limited.
the demon has his attention again, though his brows raise somewhat
in disbelief.
âyou want to talk about shortcomings now?â
his words come out as a hiss, but it does raise an idea. his handÂ
closes around a piece of rubble, then he cocks his arm back and
chucks it at the ceiling. the desired affect is to gain the beastâs
attention, and it succeeds. the leviathan throws all of itâs weight
at the ceiling causing the beams to crack and tumble, the whole
place threatening to come down. it gives him enough of anÂ
opening and outside access that his eyes flash red, pulling the
power to him as a steady rain begins to fall around them, both
washing away their scent and muffling their steps.
castiel takes his blade in his hand, moving away from the demon
now.
âstay here. iâm going to kill it.â
