being betrothed to a prince of house targaryen is a huge honor. ladies all over westeros envied you because you’re getting married to a targaryen prince. however, what people didn’t knew was that you despised the whole predicament. being married to a prince who will never love you wasn't what you expected at all. growing up, you dreamed of being married to someone who will love you with all his might — but the gods are cruel to you for being subjected to this kind of fate.

trying to know your intended shouldn’t be that hard right? you’re about to spend your entire life with him, bear him heirs, and be a loving wife, that’s your duty. unfortunately, with all your efforts to know your supposed other half, aerion shutted you out. ignoring invites for dinner, throwing out your gifts, snapping at you any chance he gets. if that’s what you have to endure throughout this “marriage” to make it work, then so be it.

aerion’s child with you would grow up trying to create bond with him, but aerion was strict with your child. making sure that there were no room for mistakes. he would enforce your child to spend his day learning about their history and to practice his swordsmanship, honing him to be a fine prince of the realm. this resulted to your child barely seeing his father as he grew up. his son from his lover on the other hand would have all of aerion’s time. bringing him to his travels, getting lavish gifts such as having one of the finest horse that king’s landing has to offer. don’t be surprised if people mistake aerion's legitimate son as his bastard.

things started to shift when a deadly plague loomed over king's landing. the gods have been awfully cruel to you for letting you catch the plague. how can someone like you who did nothing wrong be damned by the gods? when aerion heard of your situation, he gathered the best maesters that westeros has, a desperate attempt in saving your life.

when you suddenly passed due to the plague, aerion didn’t feel anything. he felt empty when you died. he should be glad that he’s finally free from you. he should be shouting for joy because the antagonist of their love story is finally gone. his lover was ecstatic when she heard of your passing, thinking that aerion can finally take her as his wife but aerion suddenly saw his lover for who she is — a manipulative woman who used him to gain power. he was just too blinded by the stupid promises that his lover made. this resulted to him leaving her and his bastard son.

he didn't want to admit it to himself that he did love you despite promising himself to only love his mistress. he was thankful to be wedded to someone like you who accepted who he is. a wife who never defied him, who stood by him even if it meant your honor besmirched due to his infidelity, his wife who did a wonderful job in raising their son. for you to suffer this fate made his heart twinge.

it is no wonder why your marriage with aerion is a tragedy, as the history books called it. songs were sung because of how you were able to survive aerion targaryen whose heart belonged to someone else. it was said that when you passed, aerion has slowly lost his mind, obsessing over dragons and including you in the plans he made with his council as if you're still alive. thinking that drinking wildfire can give him the power to turn into a dragon. that if the gods granted his wishes to become a dragon, then maybe the gods would hear his plea to bring you back. if he had to spend his entire life to atone for his sins he would do it in a heartbeat, just to bring you back. your death made him regret every single thing he did to hurt you and your child. he just wished that things were different.

that maybe in another life, if the gods would hear, he will love you right — as he should have in the first place.
