your local failure

Decided to rework the creature in my last post, and by tweaking the design I created an arboreal lizard I have a couple more ideas for this little fella so I might make another post if I find the time to fully flesh them out

Ended up doodling on paint, and came up with this little guy It's inspired by Onis (Japanese creature) and dragons, with just a tad bit of lion anatomy I even came up with a small backstory: Basically when people from the west first travelled east and found out these fellas they were intrigued by their appearence, more specifically by their colorful forked tongue. When the adventurers/merchants/whatever came back home they talked about them comparing their tongues to fire and flames Unfortunately that didn't go very well: since this was the middle ages cameras weren't a thing yet, so without and image to refer to everyone just started fantasizing about what a fire-looking tongue could look like Their appearence spread by word of mouth, as everyone in the west just started making up stories, with each one being more creative than the last. At the end of they day the most popular legend was that they breathed fire, basically ending up with we know as "dragons"

I recently had the sudden urge to draw a pegasus because I couldn't figure out how the wings were supposed to attach to the body... I ended up with some pretty neat studies, although the solution to my dilemma was pretty obvious, idk why I had to do a full study to visualize it

I’ve been playing Tomb Raider 1 as of lately, and although the controls are super clunky and awkward, Lara’s design is incredibly cool and badass! I used this occasion to train my painting skills too, since I’ve been neglecting them for a very long time (^▽^;)
