“You are not,” Tamara confirmed. She had been trained to kill monsters. But why wasn’t Tamara killing her? “Because you’re–” She squinted a little. It looked like she was almost… “–crying. Why are you crying?” True, there were no tears, but her face was twisted a way that made it look like she was about to cry.

“Yet most people don’t believe in the supernatural. That’s an incredibly rude people for people to say. Maybe you just have fair skin and aren’t an outdoor adventurer.” The way the woman got so defensive about the whole thing started to put Jess a little on edge. But if the woman really wasn’t human, the only reason she would hurt Jess would be to hurt her. Demons and angels didn’t make their host bodies paler and she could only assume they were the two types of creatures that would know who she was and could use her to their advantage against Sam.

♞–  “Good to know.” Stiles hummed, giving her a shrug of indifference–she didn’t seem like a threat, at least.

Delirium tilted her head from side to side. She managed to make the female smile with one simple action - something that would never work out with her siblings, who often seemed to lack any sense of humour. Proud of the achievement, she smiled at the vampire, but as she inquired to know her origins, she puffed her cheeks. “Oh no. No no. I don’t imitate. I don’t become them. I am just myself. Always just myself.” She twisted her wrist and for a brief moment her hand turned into a swarm of butterflies. When it was back to its usual shape, she introduced herself. “I’m Delirium. Or Maniae. Hysteria…” The embodiment of both madness and sanity. There was much more to add, but she stopped with three names. “Just Del.”

Astrid looked almost in awe at how the girl was reacting towards the vampire. Her eyes, her words the way she moved was all very inhuman to the white blonde and she couldn’t help but stare and even stand back with a massive jolt in her step as the image of butterflies formed in her hand. That freaked her out a bit. “What?” she asked, tilting her head slightly although she could only guess that the girl was talking to herself as she looked around like a crazed creature. “I’m Astrid” she then added, holding her hand out to shake the others with a smile, ignoring the last bit of confusion the girl seemed to have faced with herself.

“Oh it can?” she pretends to be concerned and nods slowly, she didn’t care about other’s feelings. It wasn’t like she was going to sit down with the vampire and have a heart to heart, something’s were better left unsaid. “I comprehend” she mutters refraining herself from nicknaming the other a ridiculous vampy nickname. “I’m evil, well kind of. I’m short, really short and I have a great brain for pranking. What am I. I’m an imp” she tells the female vampire, hand gesturing to her body with a grin. “This is just the demon part of me allowing me to shape shift whenever I please. My father has involuntary handed over some abilities to me.. something which he often used to whine about” she shrugs not really caring about the demon and wishing wherever he was; that pain was still his biggest friend. 

“Yeah it definitely can” she replied with a sigh although Astrid could tell that the girl didn’t really care much whether it was insulting or not. Something the white blonde was slowly getting used to over the years. “An imp huh?” she then added, flicking through her mind back to when she was a hunter; never had she ever come across an imp before but she had read plenty about them in the endless books she rented out from libraries and the one’s her own parents gave her before they died. Those imps were misfits from what she could tell, the demon part of this girl not exactly putting the vampire at ease either. “That’s pretty...interesting”

She smirked slightly, amused with the girl’s attitude. It was the most expression of an emotion one would be able to elicit from her these days. Then again, when she was in the presence of her kind now, she seemed to relax a little.

“I give you credit for thinking about survival.” Griffon admitted, surveying the room, keeping her voice low enough that only would her counterpart be able to hear her. “There’s a room I broke into through the window, my truck is a half mile down the street, you strong enough to make it there?”

“That’s all I ever think about now” it was a little sad really in Astrid’s case. She would often think about other people before she was bitten, thinking about her family and how proud they would be. Now she was just some vampire trying to avoid a steak in the heart.

“I can certainly try and make that” she then added, nodding as she looked to where she would have to be running. The injury she had suffered wasn’t too bad, nothing she hadn’t really had before.

Cara nodded appreciatively, “Thank you. And it’s a compliment, really - a compliment of the best kind. My sister was amazing. Lively, and energetic, and… well, she had a brilliant smile…” Just thinking about it made one ghost across Cara’s face -  hint of the happiness that Ari had brought to the lives of everyone she touched. …God, Cara missed her.

“Okay--well I’m sorry if you lost her if she was so great. I’m glad I can at least remind you of some good times...I guess” Astrid never really knew how to react to stuff like that so she did it the best way she could. 

“Well, I was talking about what you can do in this town. But if you want to get lost, fine by me.” Lee said in joke tone as he looked around ever so briefly for a moment or two. Chuckling slightly as well.
