I was in the marketing group during this degree show organization. My primary role was to negotiate sponsorship agreements with approximately ten merchants, and I successfully secured support for the event. Additionally, I promoted the degree show by creating posters, pictures, and texts for various platforms.

I also contributed to the physical preparation of the exhibition space. This involved painting walls, filling holes, and using red tape to decorate the walls and entrance of various rooms, including G05. I collaborated with others to tidy the entire church and ensure it was ready for the opening.

One of my key achievements was securing Chatime as a sponsor for bubble tea at the opening night. I worked closely with the sponsor to arrange the collection of 20 bubble teas, three boxes of gifts, and 100 student membership cards to the exhibition venue. Throughout the process, I maintained clear and effective communication with Chatime to ensure the sponsorship was successfully completed. In addition, I coordinated Instagram story posts with Chatime to promote the sponsorship and increase its visibility.

After the show, I assisted with the de-installation of all projects and the cleaning of the entire area. I collaborated with other students to ensure a smooth and efficient process for dismantling their works and took responsibility for returning all equipment, devices, desks, chairs, and other materials to their designated locations, ensuring they were properly packed and organized. I took care to clean the tape residue from the floors, doors, and walls, and thoroughly tidied the entire area, leaving it in pristine condition for future use.

I created a production plan that divided my task into different parts, including sound/animation/Arduino physical calculation setup and final testing.

• 1. Document Using sensors and projectors in combination with sound to create an interactive reality "ASMR" device.

The computational part includes: 1. Programming the sensor and devices connected to it, setting up the corresponding actions. 2. Programming the background image to be dropped by the projector, using the p5.js library.

Using Java Script language and P5.js library for setting up the visual image part. And use C++ language with Arduino kits to program the sensor to control the devices.

I will use Physical Computing techniques and use the circuits to connect the sensor and devices. Also, if it is possible, I will let the sensor make differences on the projector image as well. That will depend on how much I could take control of the sensor and the relevant coding problem.

I will use some of the knowledges from Physical Computing module and follow the tutorials of class, but also will look for the tutorials on YouTube. I have already found some of the tutorials for designing the background image projecting.

The specific data set need to wait after I decided which kind of the sensor I will use in this project. The choice of sensitivity and the type of sensor affects the exact method of operation in the interaction as well as the programming direction.

• 2. Code snippet

Below is the code fragment for the projecting part I have already done. On this basis, the animation and changes will be further enhanced to create a more suitable "hypnotic" effect. At the moment it is a loop animation with color changing, simulating the scene of hypnosis.

Based on the progress of the work now, I am struggling to decide whether to change the form and conceptual focus of the final work presentation. My alternative is to create a sensible wind simulator as the main content of the work. To simulate the feeling of the wind/rain hitting the window. This was inspired by the ASMR experience.

I am currently learning to program the sensor so that it could detect the movement of a person's hand and then modify the small blower to change the strength of the blowing wind.

There will be a bed with the corresponding bedding, consisting of a sensor, glass, a blower and a continuous spray of water which will be placed at the head of the bed, accompanied by lights.

I will continue to try to program the sensor and the blower unit.

I have created a traditional bin in my another module, which is related to this final project. I want to use bin to represent the trash things / emotions in life, such as what Covid has brought to people.

I plan use the bins as one of the symbols of my final project, which not only in virtual, but also put a real one in the project. So I will try to use 3D printing to create some truly “designed bins” in various size, put it along with a real bin in the reality, which could be found along the street.

Also I tried to create a scene where to place all the elements. I want to design a 360 degree space, which is quite like the facilities created by Murphy in Interstellar. Meaning all those stressful/depressing/desperate moments and feelings are actually everywhere in life, which makes it much harder to get things through. Especially when people are having serious psychological problems.

One style idea for the scenes. MIST, MYSTERY, UNKNOWN, STRESS, LOST what to do.

Another one I plan to design a opposite one. WARM, SAFE, BY THE FIREPLACE, RELAX.

Make the objects in the image symmetrical up and down to form a surrounding space. It also becomes a 360-degree cylinder in the longitudinal direction. It could better reflect the infinite ∞ I want to express, the feeling of being surrounded by all.

My dissertation's theme is around the expression of color and composition in Modern and post-modern art. How do the elements work with each other. Basically talked about the exploration the aesthetic styles and the aesthetics formed by color and composition around the visual and cinematographic arts of contemporary art. Then how do reality respond to them. I use Wes Anderson and other famous directors works as examples to discuss about the various aesthetic aspects of styles, which was achieved with the help of a wide range of colors, compositions and camera works.

I divided the whole topic into different parts of points, and give them each a discussion.

As a major centerpiece of the visual image, colors carry expressive and creative power, and are sometimes even the subject of tension in the image. Artists have been using colours to convey mood, atmosphere, and attention to details for centuries, expressing the aesthetic signals with which they want.

Like the social context and emerging culture, or the general political and historical situation in which the country is situated, can impact or even play a decisive role in artistic creation. The Renaissance and the Enlightenment movements were supported by socio-political and communicative trends to ensure a free cultural production and a more diffuse and open artistic outcome.

The compositional style and color palette that characterizes a work of art expresses the metaphorical content that the author wants to convey through the image.

I chose The Grand Budapest Hotel as one specific example, to talk about his images which all convey a distinctive 'Wes’s style' with the exact control of color and scale. The use of color and composition to express mood and plot is a common form of artistic expression in film, and a unique aesthetic style of image has been developed under “Wes's” film language.

His script and characters all be given a strong personal style, which could leave a lasting impression on the audience.

Quentin Taratino's pieces also include those strong personal emotions and style. This is his work series Kill Bill.

In my work I also want to create a world provided with a unique image design, which allow audience leave their own imagination and guess/ feelings. I plan to combine the past years projects by new techniques learned this final year, with color and composition, to create a 3D work with strong visual effect. I still want to make effort in providing an atmosphere to the viewers, allow them to give back their own answers to various understandings.

I want to use VR as an ideal way to pronounce the work. And includes interactive features to get feedback from the customers. Like I discussed in my topic, I think the design of color and composition could speak much more content than they seem to be. They could be as tools to help the director "say without seeing", give rich meanings under the script. That is a way of protection for the expressions and performance aesthetics, a function of open-mind as well.

This video shows one part of Trevor's exhibition, which is displaying video clips which were shot in Scotland and featuring an independent soundtrack.

The images appear to be made up of two layers. The first layer is some dynamic video footage and the second layer is a kinetic effect of rain beads hitting the top of the glass, giving the whole piece a sort of ASMR anthropomorphic feel. Together with the surrounding sound effects and the real time sound delivery and the overlaying layers of effects, the whole piece has a sense of authenticity, both like real video and special effects design.

Mathison’s sound installation plays the building back to itself, using its open and porous layout as an opportunity to mix different sounds into a multi-layered, mutating composition.

I went to Trevor Mathison's first solo exhibition in a UK institution last Monday. The exhibition named From Signal to Decay: Volume 1, which was held in the basement of Goldsmiths CCA.

What makes me feel interesting was its components was actually related or composed of recordings in the Goldsmiths CCA building. He has undertaken a sonic investigation, and using an Ambisonic microphone to record the sound of the architectures.

He periodically played back all those samples in the basement, which creates a mysterious, silent, empty atmosphere effect. The basement could be provided with an exclusive echo wall that gives a unique reverberating effect to the sound. Reverberating with the architecture and providing a constant signal with which the sound pieces in other gallery spaces can converse and collide.

Also, he set a microphone for collecting sounds from New Cross Road, and made it into live feedback in the basement corridor. This was really attracting and I didn't realize it when I first saw the setting, but after reading through the guide information it suddenly kicked me.

All those layers are interesting and put in a neat but random way. Those collections imaged a library feeling which could allow you to find your own information supports.

According to this article, Janusz Heitzman analyses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human psychological and mental health, and its justification from a human science and pathology perspective. Based on his research, he supported that it could not be excluded that some new diagnostic categories for specific psychiatric disorders caused by the COVID-19 pandemic would emerge in the near future.

I contextualize the project in the context of today's covid-19 outbreak. Several studies on human mental health and the state of today's outbreak were collected, including an analysis of special conditions and the state of human-human and human-animal relationships, as well as a scenario analysis of how human interaction, mental health, and wellbeing can be applied to human-computer interaction.

I use the collision between dots, the entanglement of dots and lines to express different human relationships. For example, under the choice of depressed people, as dots they may be very resistant to collision with other people and just want to hide, but somehow very much want to be found by other dots and want to be pulled by reliable and secure threads. People in different emotional states will make different choices, and I plan to make an interactive and adjustable interface, so that each group can choose the state that best suits them and name themselves.

I also have created a “Mouse Force” to compare the government's interventions on social interactions during the pandemic. When the mouse gets closer, the particles will be forced away, then the lines which connecting two points will get thinner and then broke. This shows the relationships between people may be edged out or even stopped due to the distance in life. However, they still may rediscover each other and establish stronger connections.

By setting a new class called “particles”, I wrote a particle system which could be interacted with. Among them I used several times “for loop” and “map” functions, to create the working system. Also used trigonometry to make the “mouse force” available for pushing the particles. I have learned from the other module this term and also searched online for the part codes that I’m not sure how to finish. The resources I’ve used have been added the references and comments.

I planned to create a project with Dumb interactions. I chose to use dots and lines and surfaces to refer to the relationships between people in today's society. But human relationships may, or must, have different states and interpretations in the perspectives of different groups of people. By creating an interactive page, it is possible to allow different groups of people to choose the type of style that suits their point of view and then enter different modes of variation. This allows for a much-varied experience and more communication throughout the experiment, where a "dumb" flat interaction can be extended to human brain activity, which forces the power of the mind to join the process.
