Finding Faeries

i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive

Whenever I rewatch Tangled there's always a different part that hits me. There's always a different lesson I take from it and that's true for any media. We see the lessons we are ready to learn, you simply need to look around you sometimes to see the signs.

You aren't ungrateful just because you're frustrated with your situation. You can feel upset while still being grateful for what you have. Two things can be true at the same time.

emotional processing is so funny because sometimes you’ll be violently sobbing on your bedroom floor over something that happened 4 years ago and then you’ll just. get up and make coffee. and go to the grocery store. and take all this fundamental sadness for a walk. and ponder the cosmic experiences of humanity while eating a sandwich. and that’s healing.

you should really get comfortable believing in love and magic and whimsy or you’ll continue to live a half-life for the rest of the time you have on earth
