Open to everyone! Where: After the ominous voice
Régulo was frozen in terror. If taking the blame for his sibling was not nerve wracking enough, the voice boomed from out of nowhere and caused silence. Yet after whatever that was finished what needed to be said, all the fae went back to normal as if nothing happened. No terrifying voices, no murder.
He clutched his faeire wine tighter. Régulo needed to get out of Gláta. He wanted to feel the cool fall breeze against his face and lie down in his own bed at The Forest House. Most of all, Régulo had a sinking feeling that he'd be blamed once again for the chaos that took over Gláta.
Régulo must not have noticed the fae he rushed past. The young lord's shoulder slammed into another, splashing his wine onto the floor. "Sorry!" Régulo apologized as quickly as he could.
Aurora had been unsettled by the booming voice. She didn't let her face show it though. Her mind raced with possible answers. Was this a threat to all those who held power, or just one of the houses? The Spring Valkyrie's mind raced as she searched the crowd. She was so caught up in her own thoughts that she didn't notice the other coming close to her. Damn it, she thought, now isn't the time to be off your guard. You should have seen him coming and moved out of the way. Though her mind was upset, her face was kind. "Don't worry about it, my Lord. I wasn't paying attention. Seems ominous voices will do that to me." She joked with a light smile.
Heart racing, Liv stood still as a stone, thankful the mask stayed on her face while she felt her other mask slip. The voice still boomed through her body, vibrating her bones and wrapping around her lungs until she could hardly breathe right. But she she slipped that mask back up quickly, immediately scanning the crowd for her High Lord.
And just as she did, his voice reached her ears and the breath all left her lungs. Suddenly, her body was moving as she grabbed his arm and steered him away from the crowd toward a corner, her back to it. "Santichai...what the cauldron is happening here? Are you okay?" The concern shone in her eyes, even as she kept her face covered, flipping the long braid over her shoulder, she scanned the crowd for anything that might be amiss, or dangerous. But again, considering their situation, threats could be anywhere at this time.
"I...I don't know," he whispered as his eyes darted around the room. "I thought that this was over with, now that we all have our memories, I thought that this was done," He felt the tightness in his chest again. What was he going to do? What could he do? His hand pinched the bridge of his nose as he tried to focus on something other than the tightness in his chest. He wanted to hug Liv, to feel her warmth, to calm his nerves. He shook his head slightly, that was selfish of him. How many others were feeling the same way he was. How many other didn't have someone to rely on. His eyes met hers and searched them.
"Do you have any leads? Any ideas?" He asked her in a hushed tone. His hand absentmindedly found hers. He made sure that it wasn't visible to those that might be watching. She was the only person that he trusted right now. The only person that he knew he could count on, even if it was just for comfort from the chaos that surrounded them.
Who: closed starter for @icewitch21 When: any time after the voice
His eyes flickered around the room and his chest felt tight. This couldn't be happening again. The pressure he felt in that moment made his ears momentarily ring. He felt light headed but remained standing tall. He closed his eyes for a moment, focusing on his breathing. Taking his time knowing the more he forced himself, the longer it would take for him to return to normal. After a couple of seconds, he felt himself returning to normal. The pressure he felt before everything had happened was amplified, and he was struggling to keep his composure. He felt responsible for everything. He let out a soft sigh.
He now looked around for Liv. The few people that he trusted. He got caught up chatting with the other guests. Trying to calm their fears despite feeling fearful himself. This is what he was trained for, this is what he spent his life preparing for. Being someone who would shoulder all the blame and put on a brave face for those who were under his care. When he finally spotted her he made his way towards her. "Liv," he said with a soft voice, his mask dropping for a moment allowing her to see the concern on his face.

Who: open to everyone! Where: Winter court great hall
Arianrhod was in a panic. How could she have forgotten where she was from? How could she have forgotten how much power she held?
All because of this stupid curse.
The murder was a horrible surprise on top of the curse that only lead to more questions than answers. The twisting throb in her wrist brought Arianrhod back to the present. Cauldron, she needed to find a way out the winter court.
"What could they have meant by that note?" the high priestess mused it over. Her mind continued to catastrophize despite her best efforts not to. "Worse, what if there's another murder?"
He was lost in his thoughts. He had forgotten the pressures of his family. How was that possible. No. Even with the curse, he knew he had responsibilities and that as the eldest it was up to him to set a picture of strength. Under the curse, the self-doubt was less. That was the truth. The feeling that he wasn't good enough returned, and with that the feelings of being overwhelmed all the time returned.
The other's words broke his thoughts. What did it mean? Were the memories he was regaining truly his own? Were they another ruse and his true self was hidden somewhere deep within waiting to break free?
"There won't be another murder" he said. He didn't know that. He hoped that there wasn't another murder. "Everyone is on high alert and I am sure that if an attempt was made, someone would intervene."
Who: open to everyone Where: Sulking in some shadowy corner
Luna was irked by the situation they found themselves in. Lost memories, a murder, with so many opportunities for trouble Luna was surprised that she was not the cause of any of them.
Her search for the perpetrator spanned hours throughout the day, questioning any fae unlucky enough to cross her path.
The spymaster heard footsteps coming her way. Quickly, she crouched down and took position. When the fae got closer Luna reached out and grabbed their arm. "You best hope you had nothing to do with this" She growled into the fae's ear "Tell me what you know"
Santichai had been searching for answers. His mind a mess of thoughts that didn't offer any answers. He was glad to be getting his true memories back, but he missed the lightness of being under the spell. He didn't feel as if he was going to be crushed under the pressure of his name.
He was lost in his thought when the other grabbed him. "If I knew anything, I wouldn't be here." He growled. Anger filled his voice, not towards the other, but towards the situation. Angry that a part of him wished he didn't regain his memories. "I'd be looking for the culprit, not wandering the halls like a mindless fool." His anger grew as he tried to get free of her grasp.
time & place: after the discovery, between 1am and 4 am. availability: open to everyone
IT WAS CERTAINLY A DEVELOPMENT IN THE EVENING. While the Spymaster of Winter was not thrilled about the sudden change in the air or the way the evening was completely ruined by the very ... not so lively crasher to the party. The fae had no mask, so she knew they were not on the guest list - or they might have lost the mask in a brawl somewhere. Still, she wasn't about to guess without any tangible evidence.
she was on the hunt for one.
Turning towards the fae beside her, Artemis' silver gaze fixed upon the individual. "I am getting sidetracked by so many options and I could use an outside input. Do you have any idea or even a mild hunch as to were we should start? I would prefer to roam outside, but the palace is on the lockdown until the sunrise."
The High Lord of the Winter Court was at a loss. He didn't even know where to begin. He felt responsible for the death, it happened in his homelands. He searched his mind for a possible path. "I think perhaps we should start with the guest list," He finally said. "Even though they were not wearing a mask, maybe they were listed none the less." He deferred to the Spymaster.
He should have prepared better. He should have realized something was wrong.
His mind retraced the last moments before the scream pierced the stillness. Was there anything that stuck out to him? He sighed. No. Everything seemed to be going according to plans.
