today’s cafe session after gym. it was a cloudy, warm day!! ahhh I loved every bit of it. I walked my dog when I got home and I’ll just wash up before I have to study again.

yesterday, I was feeling really anxious about next week’s major exams so my beau took me out to watch a movie (amsterdam! I loved it even though it got dragging at some point) and a late lunch/early dinner. I went home after and had a productive study sesh with my peers until 1 in the morning and turned in.

life is good, life is good. I feel motivated to study now.

It can be pretty difficult to free yourself from living the life that others want for you, especially when so many of our experiences are shaped by what others want. I understand my parents want me to be happy, but I can also accept that their idea of achieving happiness may look different from mine. Those around us usually do want the best for us! But it’s always good to reflect on when your desires and their desires diverge.

or rather the glorification of it is. no one is having a good amazing time ever. life is an endless train plowing through bullshit at every age from 5 to 95 there is no magical point where shit gets more or less fun things just change and you change. there will always be happy times and shit times but there will never be wasted time because no matter how old you are you have the capacity to have happy moments and fulfilling experiences. youth is just a time to be naive and make stupid shitty decisions you can laugh at later. dont regret not being able to experience going to music festivals when you were 17, go to music festivals now. theres nothing actually special about being young. if you arent dead youve got time.
