If you have read the previous page, you know I have found a Pillager outpost. I'm not sure whether or not it is the closest to my base, but at least I now know where this one stands.
I broke in and left its owners a message. While it is certain that this wouldn't stop them from constantly showing up to my house, I wouldn't be satisfied without leaving a little ominous trace of my own.
Not long after, I heard a fresh squad approaching the tower. Surrounded as I now were, I made a swift exit and ran towards the nearest different biome, which happened to be eroded badlands.
It didn't take long to spot a scouting team patrolling the area. Something tells me they weren't too happy about the message.
The next biome I stumbled into was a jungle. While I was out there in the wild, I thought that I might as well look for a temple, considering I am after a specific armor trim. I did find one, but my expectations were quickly crushed - it didn't have what I was looking for.
By that point, exhaustion was starting to creep up on me. Running around on land isn't really my strongest suit - I'm much more at ease on a boat, with the cerulean kiss of sky and sea as my sole horizon. The terrain was especially strenuous, with steep hills and mountains galore.
(A Pillager is staring at me, you can see them under the leaves of the birch tree.)
To my greatest dismay, I narrowly avoided colliding into a Pillager squad again. It was really starting to become worrying. Even while on the move, they kept following me. I couldn't wait to get back on water - at least there, I knew I would have the upper hand, and a more efficient way to flee.
I stumbled into another pale garden. At first I believed I had simply circled back to the one I had previously discovered, but the coordinates were widely different, and the expense of the garden much smaller. Regardless, I moved on.
(They may be hard to see, but they're climbing the hillside. The flag bearer is staring at me.)
I kept to the treetops for a while. Taking the high road was reassuring to some extent, and made it so much easier to progress in somewhat of a straight line, hopefully to the ocean. To home.
Yet, the one time I looked down, intrigued by subtle movements caught at the very edge of my sight, I saw them. Always them, following me to hell and back and beyond. I fear I might have made myself a mortal enemy by raiding their outpost.
I may need to take more drastic measures to ensure this won't cause me any real issue later.
The last few hundreds blocs were an absolute pain. I lost my trusty boat, I lost my red cot and had to hurriedly axe down a couple of sheep to sleep the final night. I don't enjoy having to kill animals because I lack the proper tools to only take what I need painlessly. It is such a waste.
At long last, after running through plains and birch forests alike, I reached the ocean and got in my brand new, dark oak boat. I swallowed down the bitterness that threatened to burn my throat, and the remainder of the trip went swimmingly, pun intended.
Turns out I didn't have enough maps on me to chart everything of note that I saw; to some extent, this report is another way of recording what occurred. In case anything happens to me. You can never be sure.
