Always there: Rosaria, Xinqgiu

Most of the time accompanied by: Sucrose, the traveller (Lumine) or Xiangling

xingqiu heads to mondstadt to do some research for a book he was in the process of writing, and met rosaria at the cathedral. hes immediately intrigued and after a little bit of recon he follows her to dragonspine

shes miffed and tries to shake him off but he doesnt leave it alone, and so they get to chatting

they get along decently well, surprisingly, and their friendship usually consists of rosaria materializing out of nowhere to help xingqiu with various things

everyone else pops up here and there, lumine because shes lumine and she knows everyone, xiangling because sometimes xingqiu got food from wanmin for rosaria, sucrose because she spotted them on dragonspine and got worried and took them to albedos camp

sucrose is a little freaked out by rosaria, and cowers behind all the members of the team more often than not

lumine always pops up out of the blue. no one understands her ways, and they stopped asking questions awhile ago

xingqiu sits in some of the services in the cathedral every once and awhile and rosaria despises it every time

xiangling likes to go out with sucrose and find cool stuff to either alchemically experiment on or bake into a dish

do you think it would be easier if everyone told the truth all the time. like, if lying just didn't exist. people say what they mean at face value, there’s no hidden message you have to decipher or anything like that

just like, “i dont want to be friends with you” “that sucks but okay” and bam, you dont have to waste time and energy being nice to someone youre not friends with?

everyone on the team has been vague aware of each other for quite some time, but the assembly really gets kickstarted whenever one day hu tao is going after qiqi again

qiqi runs, manages to shake hu tao off of her tail and hides underneath a table in wanmin where mao finds her

he tells xiangling to go bring her back to the pharmacy, and on their way they run into ningguang, who's chatting with hu tao, who's still looking for qiqi

qiqi is not happy to see her, and a small fight later they call a truce and now its time to try and get hu tao and qiqi to get along with supervisors ningguang and xiangling

hu tao and xiangling are absolute buds. xiangling is absolutely horrified by hu taos cooking ability. she tries to make it better but it never works

ningguang adores qiqi. she will never admit this. whenever shes doing work, sometimes qiqi will just hop up and hang out on her lap.

qiqi thinks guoba is adorable. she forgets who he is every time, but that makes it even better when she sees him next time

hu tao has tried to sell ningguang coffins more than you think. she swears that one time ningguang responded with ‘i will never die,’ but no one can corroborate her story

after awhile, hu tao and qiqi slowly learn to understand one another and eventually they arent at each others throats all the time

childe's been instructed to take over diplomatic tasks in inazuma since the whole signora thing, and just generally make sure that 'hey. we're chill, right? cool' with ei

so he's busy sorting out diplomatic crap with ei whenever one thing leads to another and they end up sparring

meanwhile kazuha is teaching bennett some things after they met through a long series of conincidences

these life lessons are mostly excessively poetic but bennett enjoys them anyway

the two groups clash and. kazuha is obviously super against doing anything with ei because. you know. duh. but he prioritizes keeping an eye on them over his personal grudges

childe finds bennett cute, but more like in the way someone finds a puppy cute. he gets more respect for bennett as time goes on though

bennett is surprisingly good at writing poems. he and kazuha do them together its nice

kazuha refuses to interact with ei alone for obvious reasons but eventually they chat, and while ei apologizes he doesn't forgive her for what the raiden shogun did. because he doesnt have to. he helps her realize what her quest for eternity has done to her nation

no no but youre right. the closest ones on the team are fischl and barbara and thats only because of all the times fischl has dragged bennett to barbara to get him patched up

team starts whenever the sisters at the church force barbara to take a vacation, but while she's out in wolvendom still doing work, she's found and recruited by fischl to go on some wacky adventures

one of these adventures leads them to chongyun, who's investigating another spirit thing that xingqiu directed him to, and that adventure leads to legal trouble, which is how yanfei gets involved

vague court cases later, theyre a team now!

chongyun and barbara are usually the cooks for the team. its pretty peaceful, mostly because after like ten minutes they run out of important things to talk about, so they just hang out in silence

barbara and yanfei are the voices of reason. mostly just for fischl, but if chongyuns positivity flares up someone has to step in or else things will be broken

yanfei is pretty curious on how oz would be tried in a court of law. fischl just says not to worry about it because they'll never get caught. this does not make yanfei stop wondering but it does make barbara worry

lmao valid, my team is qiqi kokomi razor and sucrose for friendship and then i just. never changed it.

lisa has been teaching razor techniques to help him better use his vision and hes been sparring with noelle and kaeya to help get him used to people

but eventually shes like ‘i dont really have much else to teach him but he needs more work’

so kaeya is like ‘i got this’

grabs razor and starts marching to liyue

on their journey they find fischl who tags along because she does what she wants

eventually they end up on the alcor, kaeya hands off razor to beidou (she owes him a favor) but after dinner fischl and kaeya decide to stay too

beidou loves razor. teaches this kid everything she knows and them goes off to learn more to teach him. mother and son. beidou is trying to teach him not to spin around when doing a charged attack but he wont listen

oz loves to hide in razors hair. fischl finds this hilarious, razor is just confused. sometimes he doesnt even know oz is in there

fischl is kaeyas go-to informant. also they like to do dramatic poses together

razor doesnt like to be left out so fischl gets him an eyepatch. it lasts for about two minutes before he decides he wants his depth perception back

kaeya and beidou are like 6 levels indebted to one another. they stopped keeping track after awhile, now they just vibe and bother diluc at the tavern

we love to see weird combinations that happen whenever we're grinding for mats. im currently fighting the new wolf boss and the perpetual motion machine for itto gorou and yun jin whenever she comes out,,,, pain

amber is out doing her outrider thing, whenever she finds qiqi wandering around, and decides that leaving this child to wander around and probably get burned to a crisp by a wopperflower

she notices what qiqis wearing and together the two of them head to liyue harbor where they run into chongyun

chongyun takes them to bubu pharmacy, and ever since then whenever the team doesn't have anything to do they'll get together and just adventure around together

ei just kind of. shows up one day and no one has the heart or cares enough to tell her no

ei and chongyun dont really talk much, mostly just exist in one anothers presence. good vibes

chongyun has to go chasing after amber and stop her from putting herself into stupidly dangerous situations. a strange ‘what do you have’ ‘A KNIFE’ meme

at first, amber treats qiqi like klee, but learns pretty quickly that theyre very different. it takes some adjusting but qiqi does love piggy back rides

chongyun is always super patient with qiqi. they just like to vibe

would apologize for this being so late but im not gonna bc ive got other stuff to do and youre capable of waiting <3 now lets gain this grain my good sir

xingqiu has been hearing some things through the rumor mill, so of course he makes up some excuse to his father, grabs chongyun and drags him to the docks

they board the alcor and xingqiu gets buddy buddy with kazuha real quick. they bond over poetry like the nerds (affectionate) they are. chongyun is just kinda there

they land in ritou and are greeted by thoma, who gets them all the proper legal documentation and junk, and within two minutes he gets emotionally attached, btu he wont admit that, so he just says he’ll be their tour guide and help make sure kazuha doesnt run into trouble

so BOOm theyre a team now. jazz hands

chongyun has to constantly force xingqiu to pull his weight when it comes to cleaning and general upkeep of their camp because he is a rich kid at heart and thoma will absolutely do it for him

kazuha and xingqiu run off to pretty places all across the world to write poetry together. that is all.

thoma always makes sure to be aware of the closest umbrella, spot of shade, or cold body of water for chongyun. chongyun finds this hilariously embarrassing, especially whenever thoma dumps buckets of water on him whenever the sun comes out

whenever xingqiu finds out that his book is really popular in inazuma he is verY excited. chongyun could not be more proud of him

kazuha and chongyun meditate together. always somewhere different, but every day at like 5 am theyre up. xingqiu swears that one time chongyun was so still i bird came and landed on his head
