I don’t usually offer advice, but this is from an artist that’s been around for a while to a talented young artist-

You need to stop focusing so hard on likes if it’s affecting your mental health so bad. If anything is EVER making you feel terrible, it means it’s time to take a break and re-evaluate. You’re a great artist, but good art doesn’t always equal lots of likes. It’s a gamble. And it’s not worth your sanity and happiness. Maybe take a break for a week as a breather to really think about what does and doesn’t make you happy. You’re young, there’s lots of things left to try to bring happiness. First step is probably putting social media down for a few days at least and taking a walk. Go play frisbee. Something grounded in real life. Social media is pretty fickle, don’t place the dependence of your happiness in its clutches. If you have an adult you trust, ask for help. It doesn’t have to be worst case scenario to reach out for help, ask before it gets really bad. I’m sure they’d have some tips or advice to offer.

You’ve got this, find any piece of good and happiness you’ve got and hold it tight as your anchor. And please stop venting online. Yes, ask for support from friends, but putting your whole life online will only come back to bite you. The only person that will ever be able to bring you full happiness is yourself, so take good care of yourself!!

Be your own person first. Social media comes second. You’ve got this ❤️

(And I know you’ve been struggling with a friend blocking you with no explanation which sucks, it really does, but they made their decision. Whether it’s right or wrong doesn’t matter anymore. If they don’t want to communicate or reach out, they won’t. And it’ll hurt, but that’s when you need to learn to let go and move on too. Don’t waste your time on people who won’t spend their time on you. Stewing over it will just drag you deeper and darker. Take some time. Play some games with others you love. There will always be someone else who cares ❤️ Just don’t push them away.)

if you could have a power, any power, what would it be?

( for me, it'd be time travel. not particularly imaginative, but terrifyingly efficient in its simplicity. there are always moments where i want to go back, make the moment better, or just want to stop time. there is always so much happening, and i feel like i am losing a battle against time. for a moment, i'd like it to just.. stop. time stops and i'd just do things at my own pace, while time stays frozen. -and then, like nothing happened, i'd resume the natural flow of time; with everyone none the wiser.)
