There is nothing new under the sun (except streaming)

Podcast Recs:
There is a growing push to create a Progressive(ish) Coalition on social media that can compete with and counterbalance the MAGA Coalition’s huge head start. MAGA’s pods have already built popularity, engagement, reach, huge back catalogues, and cachet. But what the Republicans do louder, these folks do better:

This is a spot from an italian estate agency (we are governed by the right-wing party)
The woman says "Ridiculous..."
If you want to spread it elsewhere, here's the official link
[Video: An elderly woman is knitting and happens to look out the window to see a pair of young men walking by, who embrace and kiss. She watches after them a bit. The scene changes, and the woman has gone into a courtyard; outside the window of the flat where the men presumably live, a rainbow flag about the size of a standard sheet of paper is hanging. The woman shakes her head and calls it ridiculous; she then knocks it down with a broom handle, and we see it flutter to the ground. Later, we see the young men return to the courtyard and look up, dropping their bags in surprise. Rather than dismay at the missing flag, they now look on in wonder at the knitted rainbow flag that has replaced it, which stretches the whole width of the window and down past the bottom of the fixture the original flag had been attached to. We switch back to the view inside the woman's flat, where we see a bowl of yarn in colors that match the knitted flag; the woman caresses a black-and-white photo of her younger self in a side embrace with another woman, and smiles. End.]
I think the only way this could've been improved is if we'd seen the original, smaller rainbow flag the woman replaced tucked next to her yarn bowl.

Sacrilegious
I doubt this could be said any better.
Hey instead of just canceling your Paramount plus subscription, put that money you were spending to good use by donating to npr and pbs
Only about $1.60 per tax paying us citizen was being spent on public broadcasting per year.
Donating $1.60 per month would make up for the loss of budget from 12 taxpayers. If you donate your paramount plus subscription of $7.99 you are making up for the money spent on it from 60 tax payers per year!
If you had the 12.99 subscription? You are making up for the loss of budget that would have come from nearly 100 people.
If just ten people do a donation of 12.99 per month, that makes up for the taxes of 900+ people. Imagine if 100 people did monthly donations? And that's JUST if you do 12.99$ a month.
Consider donating.
Support PBS by giving to the PBS Foundation or by donating to your local station.
Hell npr has a special bonus service if you do 8$ a month^^^^
Cancel some subscriptions you don't use and do this instead.

The gay American political activist and prominent leader in social movements for civil rights, socialism, nonviolence, and gay rights, Bayard Rustin (1912-1987) was the principal organizer of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963. Rustin never hid his sexuality, even as it made him a target for homophobic attacks and criticism. A 1953 arrest for a homosexual encounter led to jail time and public outing, that would create obstacles in his life and work having to advise MLK and other civil rights leaders from behind the scenes. By the 1980s, he became a public advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, bringing attention to the AIDS crisis and working for inclusion. In 2013, Rustin was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.
