Title: Lawyers to Lovers.. or Something Like That
Tws: nothing but gay-ish lol
It had been a couple weeks since their second meeting. There were many more after, and Lucas could still feel the burning sensation in every bone in his body even days after each. It hung like a haze around him, thick in the air, but only to him. It was an ache that was new to him, something he didn't recognize at first. And it only seemed to get stronger with each meeting with Andrew.
Speaking of meetings, on their last meeting, Andrew had given Lucas some good news–
"They dropped the case."
It took Lucas a few moments to process Andrew's words.
"They dropped the case?"
"Were you not listening?" Andrew gave him a cocky grin, but Lucas could tell that behind that pompous act he was very pleased. "They dropped my case!"
"..Thank fuck." Lucas grabbed Andrew's hand, and was pulled into a hug. He couldn't believe it. He could've just k–
Knock knock knock.
Lucas's ear twitched at the noise, and he looked up. He got up from his bed, opening his front door. And who else would it be, but Andrew himself.
"Hey," pink dusted Andrew's cheeks, and there seemed to be a sort of edge to Andrew's voice as he spoke.
"Hey?"
"I need to bring you somewhere. Can you come with me?"
Lucas nodded. His hand was grabbed, and he was pulled out the door. His face felt a bit warm; maybe it was just the sun on his face.
"Grab a rocket. I don't have a lot left."
Another nod, and Lucas grabbed a few from his pocket. His wings fluttered as he watched Andrew grab a rocket himself, soaring into the air. Lucas, glad to feel the wind beneath his clothes, in his wings, flew beside him, keeping his eyes on Andrew to not get lost- at least that's what he told himself.
The two landed on a small island. On one side were empty pens, and a dock. On the other, a well sized farmhouse.
"You managed to build all of this?" Lucas asked, a bit of a teasing look in his eyes.
"Did you expect I couldn't?" Andrew raised an eyebrow.
"My expectations of you could be in hell, and I wouldn't expect you to even meet them." Lucas snickered.
Andrew only rolled his eyes, but beckoned Lucas to come with him. He entered the farmhouse, holding the door open for Lucas with a mocking look. Lucas swatted at Andrew, though it was dodged.
Andrew led Lucas upstairs, and seemed to take a deep breath as they walked through the room, and to the balcony. In the middle, there laid a lectern, shouldered with two blue orchids. Behind it, was a barrel, with a sign on top. The sun was just about to set, which only added to the beauty of it all.
"Andrew..? What is this?" Lucas stepped towards it, his eyes wide. He wasn't given a response.
He looked at the sign. In blue ink it read, "I finally got those mending books you asked for." And in the barrel were three mending books, as promised– three mending books Lucas had asked for, from what felt like years ago, from Andrew. He rubbed his fingers on the petals of an orchid.
"And you remembered…" He couldn't hide the small smile on his face.
Though there was one more thing he had to look through. The book. He assumed it was just something about the books– of course Andrew would take the time to be dramatic about something so small.
He flipped through it.. and it was far from expected. Purple creeped up Lucas's neck, to his cheeks, burning deeper than the night-turning sky.
"'I hope it's not too selfish when I ask this of my lawyer…'" He mumbled, and his heart felt like it was pounding out of his chest.
He looked up at Andrew, who had an embarrassed smile on his face.
"Lucas Polilla, will you do the honor of making me the happiest man alive, and marry me?"
Lucas looked at Andrew with wide eyes, unsure of how to answer. Lucas held up a hand, turning away from him. He walked back downstairs, and picked a single flower– a cornflower, Andrew's favorite. He quickly added a small tag to it, running quickly back upstairs to meet Andrew.
Andrew was still where he was before, but his eyes held a bit of concern now as he watched Lucas. Lucas held the flower out to him, his cheeks still a bright purple. Andrew's cheeks were pink themselves, and he took the flower. He noticed the small tag on it, and what it read..
Yes.
Title: Two Guys and A Handful of Bottles
Tw: Gay, gay, and more gay
A day or two had passed since their last meeting, and Lucas decided that he shouldn't keep Andrew waiting. They needed to discuss the case more. They needed to figure out more tactics to ensure that Andrew would remain out of jail, and he couldn't exactly do that alone.
Lucas knocked softly on Andrew's door, his ear twitching at the sound of footsteps. Andrew didn't look as disheveled as before; at least it didn't look like this pompous idiot ignored his request.
"Back already?" Andrew tilted his head to the side with a cocky grin. "Did you miss me that much?"
Lucas rolled his eyes, pushing Andrew back to step inside.
"Me? Miss you? I'm not another one of your flings, Andrew. I'm your lawyer. Anyway, we need to do some things, and I've got nothing better to do."
"'Flings'? What kind of whore do you take me for?"
Lucas eyed Andrew for a moment. "Definitely not a good one."
He sat on the couch pulling a leg up to rest his chin on his knee. He pulled out two small bottles– each with a shiny label that read "Strong Abestine". Andrew sat on the couch next to Lucas, watching him fiddle with one of the corks.
"Do you trust me, Andrew?" Lucas looked up at him.
Andrew hesitated, but nodded. Lucas flipped the cork off of one of the bottles, a firm grip around the neck of the bottle. He moved close, putting a hand on Andrew's cheek. It brought a warmth to his face, as Andrew looked up at Lucas curiously. Lucas brought the bottle to Andrew's lips, a certain look in his eyes that Andrew couldn't place.
"Then drink."
Andrew grabbed the bottle himself, his hand over Lucas's, and did as he was told. The warm liquor seeped into his veins, it made his mind as fuzzy as it was when the two had first met. Lucas took the bottle when it was empty, setting it to the side.
"Finally, you listen to me. Over liquor. Do you want another one?" He was glad he had grabbed at least a few. He knew he wouldn't drink himself- at least, not as much.
Andrew nodded, and Lucas grabbed another drink. Andrew took the drink from Lucas, and in little time at all, Lucas set down the second, now empty, bottle. Lucas took a drink himself, only drinking half a bottle. It didn't do much, but it was just enough to lower his guard, just a little bit.
Lucas wiped a thumb against the corner of Andrew's lips, wiping away some abestine.
"Messy bastard," he mumbled, and he cupped the older's cheeks. "Why do I put up with you?"
"Maybe you're like everyone else- you looove me." Andrew's words slurred at the edges, another side effect to drinking so much. Lucas flinched as he felt arms wrap around his waist.
"Tch- in your dreams."
Lucas rubbed his thumbs against Andrew's skin, just observing him. Andrew still had a cocky smile, his eyes hazy.
And maybe it was the alcohol that kept the two from breaking away. Maybe it was the darkening of the night that made them ignore how close they were. Maybe it was pure drunken boredom that caused them to be curled up in eachother through the night. Yet one thing was for sure; this night, and the nights that followed it, would change quite a few things for the two.
First Meeting.
[ owo ]
"Hey," Andrew seemed a bit out of breath as he opened the door.
"Hey," Lucas grinned, hands in his pockets. "May I.. come in?"
"Of course. Do you want anything to drink?"
"No thank you. It's all good."
Andrew nodded. He stepped to the side, allowing Lucas to enter. Lucas marveled at the home. Though it looked small, simple on the outside, the inside was filled with trinkets and decor and a warm sense of home. He ran his hand along a beam, the wood scraping gently against his calloused fingers.
"This place is lovely…"
"I built it myself. Have to take pride in this place, don't I?"
Lucas hummed in reply, taking a breath.
"Now," Lucas sat next to Andrew, who had sat on the couch in front of the fireplace. "How much am I being paid, before we start?"
"Diamond blocks. Discs. Rare armor trims," Andrew moved his hands, to suggest the amount of wealth he'd give. "Anything you want, really."
"My interest has been caught. What's the charges? Who's the victim? Why? Any accomplices?"
Andrew let out a little sigh before he spoke. "Multiple counts of theft and trespassing. Alex and Alli's home, no accomplices. I still need a good reason why."
"Oh my…"
"You'll be rewarded, that's all I'm saying."
"If I wasn't, you'd be in heavy debt." Lucas snickered, and for a second Andrew thought he saw a glimpse of a blade. Andrew tensed up for just a moment, before looking back up at Lucas again, who'd been rambling a little bit. "There's multiple reasons you could claim innocence. Have you lost anyone close to you recently? Family issues? Did any other detrimental events happen to you?"
"Alex killed Nova not long ago," Andrew took a sip of a drink; likely tea. "Along with every single living thing in our house."
"Gods.."
"Which is why I took this," He pulled a golden apple out of his pocket. It shined with a dim purple light; enchanted. "I thought he wasn't deserving of it."
Lucas nodded, pulling his legs up. He rested his chin on his knees, thinking.
"You could definitely plead insanity. 'He didn't know what he was doing, the poor soul has been through things in these past few weeks.'" He gave himself a brave tone, laughing to himself. Perhaps he wasn't the best to have as a lawyer, he seemed a bit… out of his head. "Prices will be discussed after we win the case. I won't take from a grieving man, especially if he's put behind bars."
"You seem quite sure of yourself," Andrew grinned, looking up at Lucas once more. "I respect it."
Lucas gave a small nod, standing. Andrew mirrored him, standing up as Lucas spoke. "I look up to your father; I mirror the spirit I see in him."
Andrew laughed, letting his head fall back for just a moment. He ran his fingers through his hair, making a mess of it. "Beware pride before the fall, my friend! I once tried to follow in his footsteps and look where it's led me."
Lucas got close to Andrew, using gentle hands to fix his shirt collar. His fingers brushed against unprotected skin, and it felt as though he'd left a mark in their path.
"My pride comes from my soul, not from the blood I was given.
Unlike your father, I know where a line must be drawn."
"I respect that, I really do. maybe we’re more alike than I previously acknowledged."
Lucas smiled up at Andrew, resting his hands on his shoulders. "Perhaps we really are. I look forward to our partnership, in these times. I hope our bond can strengthen after this, though we've met over detrimental circumstances. Perhaps we can meet again in a few days?"
"That would be nice."
"Then so be it. Can we meet here once more?"
"Of course. You're always welcome in my home."
Lucas nodded. He realized he still had his hands on Andrew, and pulled away. Purple dusted his cheeks, as red dusted Andrew's, but the two paid it little mind. Andrew walked Lucas to the door, stifling a little yawn with his hand.
Lucas was about to leave, but he paused in the doorway. He turned just enough to see Andrew.
"Take care of yourself. Okay?"
"...Okay."
"Papa?"
Andrew turned at the voice, his eyes widening. He looked… scared?
Lucas followed his gaze, confusion filling him when he saw the child in the doorway of the bar.
The kid looked no older than ten, and their small green wings and fluffy antennas dipped to match the frown on their face.
Lucas looked confused, to say the least. Andrew was just a bit older than he was.. and already a father? And Q- wouldn't that make Q a grandfather as well? As he took in the small child, he tried to blink the confusion out of his eyes.
Though, as he was doing so–
"LUCAS?"
His mother walked through the doorway, likely to have been tailing the young child, following them in a slower pace. The disapproval on her face matched her weary tone, their eyes narrowed.
Their wings fluttered in the stiff air, as they finally reached the younger child, putting a hand on their shoulder. Their expression softened for just a moment as they made sure the mothling was okay, hardening again when Squoople looked up at her son.
"What do you think you're doing here, you're only seventeen, this is ridiculous–"
Andrew turned his head just the slightest, as if intimidated by the older mothling, which didn't surprise Lucas; something about her motherly demeanor seemed to make any man quiver beneath(or rather, above) her.
"You shouldn't be here, Lucas, you know that. And you," Squoople snapped at Andrew, making him flinch. "What do you think you're doing, leaving your daughter all alone while you go out for drinks?"
Andrew stiffened the slightest bit more with a hard swallow. He took a breath, and let the grip on his bottle loosen. "She was meant to be with her mother, or her brother. She was somewhere safe when I left."
"Well that wasn't enough, now was it?"
"Mama please-" Lucas frowned, having stood to be at his mother's side. He let out a small shriek as Mercury pulled him down to her height by his ear.
"Be lucky I'm not grounding you, Lucas. Now, quiet."
He tried to struggle out of her grip, but it only made her tighten it. He looked up at Andrew apologetically, to which he was met with a pitying smile. Squoople moved her hand instead to Lucas's collar, and her other hand took the small moth child's. Squoop eyed Andrew once more, in his drunken state.
"I'm taking the kids home with me. You better feel fucking lucky I'm doing this for you. But the next time we meet, be prepared."
Andrew gave a small nod, the worried look back in his eyes. Squoople pulled the two children with her out of the bar, tight grips on them both.
"Wait mama I need- I forgot my journal in there-" Lucas pleaded, his voice soft.
Squoople squinted at the boy, but let him go.
"Oh, well hurry up then."
Lucas hugged his mother quickly as a little thank you, and went back into the bar. Andrew raised an eyebrow at him, but he shook his head. He grabbed his journal, rubbing his finger on the cover. He put it back where it belonged, before letting his eyes linger on Andrew.
He put his hand on Andrew's jaw, tilting Andrew's face up to look at him better. His eyes were still clouded, but as deep as ever. He noted the warmth that spread even deeper on Andrew's cheeks before he spoke.
"We meet at your place. I can assume which home is yours. Be safe, and don't be an idiot. Okay?"
Andrew nodded, letting out a small shaky breath he hoped that Lucas wouldn't notice.
"Good. See you in a few days then."
He let go of Andrew and left the bar, with little more than the faintest of purple particles in his wake. Lucas rejoined his mother, and found the younger mothling's name to be Ash. The three went back to Squoople's home, and Squoople made sure the two kids both slept well that night.
The night was warm, comforting in a sense. The winds blew with change, and the moon gleamed with a kind light that one couldn't ignore. And all seemed well, that night.

squoop keeps calling me slurs
I'm just a silly little guy who plays Minecraft smhhhhh
The Murder Of The Hierophant
CozySmp Lore
TW: gore, death, terribly sad, so so so sad, violence, cuntfromlvjy (referred to as 'Cpt')🥰 (gore in tags too)
during an argument, Cpt gets right up in squoops face, she can almost taste the alcohol on his breath. he looses control, he draws his sword and slashes it up her back, slicing her wings until they are hanging as if just by a nerve, she slumps to the floor, pinkish blood pooling. lucas who was standing in the doorway lets out a blood curdling scream and launches himself at Cpt. knocking him to the floor lucas pinned him down by sitting on his stomach, he pounded the axe into his fathers face and chest, splattering blood and brain matter across the khaki walls. he sobbed tearlessly as his arms tired from the constant swinging of a netherite axe, and a small weak cough brought him out of his blind rage.
"lu- " squoop choked again from behind him "l-lucas? i- i cant see" her voice was more timid than he had ever heard it "im scared" his heart shattered, he scrambled and knelt in the ever-growing pool of his mothers blood and grabbed her pale, shaking hand, noticing how cold and grey it already was. lucas could hear every movement like someone had placed a sonogram funnel into his ears. "lucas.. i- i dont want to die.. plea- please.." her voice was weak and quiet. it had already clicked.
"stay still mama" he already knew. "its gonna be okay, just hold on" she would be dead and there was nothing to do but watch his own mother bleed out infront of him, the dark liquid seeping into the fabric of his clothes like tar.
"lucas look at me.. please" she raised a shaky hand up, and he pressed his face into it, still holding onto the other like a lifeline. "my beautiful boy". she ran her calloused thumb across his soft cheek, he gazed into her eyes, her blue iris's had dulled, but her inky black pupils and sclera reflected the universe. her hand left his face harshly, and her quivering breaths no longer tormented his ears. but the sound of her last echoed like a broken record.
