HAS ALLIE EVER BEEN chill about anything ever? no, not particularly. and yet, she'd managed to keep her small crush on pheonix quiet for a while now -- in favor of being a supportive friend. having his friendship had always been more important than something that she told herself was silly or trivial. but -- how the hell can anyone be normal when they end up matching on tinder -- when she was standing right fucking there? she had been one of the people to encourage him getting back out there in the first place. all she'd been able to say was i need to go to the bathroom before emerging twenty minutes later the color of a tomato. but then, how things had so quickly turned. even if both of them were fucking terrified -- they were in it together. " now, nix -- y'better cross your heart not t'laugh at me. " allie holds out a finger, australian lilt curling around her low, teasing speech. " lord knows when i last did somethin' like this. i'll prolly look like a lamb that doesn't know where t'put her limbs. "

phoenix was in no way shape or form ready for a relationship, he was absolutely terrified about today. the last time he had asked a girl out was four years ago, going on five. his mom had instilled in him that the person he picked to date, was going to be the end game. luckily for phoenix, he had a good friend named quinn. who made his fears quickly disappear, this didn’t have to be serious. allie was one of the sweetest people he knew, dare he even say a close friend. this was probably the best way for him to get out of his shell, he felt so stuck for so long. he needed a bottle nudge, to finally be set free. “i promise not to laugh at you, but with you.” he chuckled, already planning on making himself fall if she did. he couldn’t help but find her words hilarious, she sure was funny. “just pretend like your rollerblading, it’s how i got used to it.” he mused with a smile, it was true, believing he was rollerblading definitely helped him learn a groove when performing.

charlie looked at her weirdly for a second,  a bit of disdain in their expression.   they couldn’t care less about what natasha thought of them,  of their lack of knowledge about some random movie they hadn’t watched,  so they simply shrugged,  nonchalant,  unaffected.   “   i think you heard me just right,   ”   they replied,  their tone bored,  their expression even more.   “   i just haven’t had the chance,  i guess.   ”   they had heard about it,  though,  yet not much,  so curiosity got the best of them.   “   but if you like it so much,  tell me,  why is it so good ?   what is it about ?   ”

natasha wasn’t new to their game, she had worked in retail after all. she tilted her head to the side, just a bit. her facial expression staying the same, it was pretty damn hard to get natasha to act out. even if someone was speaking to her in a harsh tone, she was relentless. a smile was going to be made, it was her mission. “i was hoping my ears had deceived me,” she admitted, not everyone had seen every movie. which wasn’t a bad thing, it left so much room for new movie that natasha could share with them. “i felt that, i feel like i haven’t had the chance for much fun these days. such a shame.” she implied, a small sigh escaping her lips. reminding herself how she needed to get in touch with her best friend, an adventure was due. “i personally think it’s so good because, it really grasps how beauty isn’t everything. what would you do if you could live forever and be as good looking as you wanted?” she asked, her brow raised.

"it's more like, i work in the kitchen, i'd rather cook than deal with people, most of them give me headaches with their stupid questions. delan's got that part working out well on their own." even just the thought of answer questions made her roll her eyes already. "i was going to go for mango and peach... hoping they still have it or i'm going to be so bummed." she frowns. "how about you though? what flavor are you gonna go for, nixie?"

"i don't blame you there, i'd be doing the same thing. people can be a lot to deal with." he sighed, knowing damn well how awful people could be. it was a smart move to be in the kitchen, he had to agree. "mango and peach are pretty good flavors, i've never had them together however." he paused, shrugging at her question. "well, i'm feeling tropical today so i was going to try mango and pineapple, with some coconut flakes." he smiled softly, it sounded even better when he said it out loud.

" oh that makes two of us ! feel free to come to me should you need any further help when it comes to fashion ! i'll be here to gladly offer my assistance. " alyssa wouldn't have it any other way. doing her passion was one of the main things that had truly kept her at her happiest. it was rare when she was, but she worked hard. a lot of people tell her that she's just working too much. but in all honesty ? she truly just had loved what she did. " you sound a little bit like me. " the blonde would say with a smile appearing along her features. " once an idea or the inspo ends up hitting me ? i almost have to pick up my sketch pad and draw it out. or i write down the details so i don't forget. " inspiration surely did hit at the most random of times, it would seem. as long as he was happy with them, that's all that mattered.

"i'll make sure to stop by sooner than later, i'd love to see you at work." he muse with a smile, he couldn't help but be happy for her. it was always such a beautiful thing, seeing others talking about their passions. "oh wow yeah, call us twins! i don't really have a sketch pad, but i'll save a note somewhere for myself." he confessed, his brow slightly narrowed. he had just opened up a bit and, it felt so natural. how odd. "are you working on anything now?" he asked, changing the topic.

"but yes, that was quite empowering. i can see why old crotchety white men like to shout it in movies." arin raised an eyebrow as he proceeded to admire her house, not above soaking in the praise. of all her traits, strengths, abilities - complimenting her landscaping probably earned him the maximum number of brownie points. "lawn service?" she scoffed at the idea of anyone else touching her lawn. "you're lookin' at her. i'd give you a business card, but all i've got is an extra cigarette and a place to sit." the brunette jerked a thumb to the swinging porch bench just a couple feet away.

nix couldn't help but laugh at her comment, there sure did need to meet elsewhere. "i have to agree with you, but this seems to be our things." he chuckled, making a mental note. he felt like all he ever did around arin was laugh, she sure was a cute character. "i have to give it a try one of these days, see how it feels." he laughed, his expression quickly changing. she did this? her yard was perfectly cut, the edges trimmed effortlessly. "no way?" his eyes widen, jaw dropping to the floor. he nodded to her answer, walking over and taking the seat next to her. "honestly, i'm speechless. did your dad teach you how to do this?" he asked curiously.

natasha had just sat down to enjoy her tacos, she had never been here before and was very excited to try it. she placed her purse down on the table, taking out wet-naps. nat was not one to have dirty hands, especially when her nails were done. it was like a rule, to her at least. after she prepared herself, she took her first bite. her tastebuds, were thrilled. as she was enjoying her first bite, a beautiful blonde at diagonal from her. natasha being captivated, watched the entire thing. she froze in place as the woman looked up at her, natasha's eyes wide. "oh for sure, i won't tell a soul!!" she mused, placing down her taco, she picked up her wet-naps. opening one to clean here hands, "here i have something!" she voiced, swallowing her bite. once her hands were cleaned, she picked out a tide to-go pen from her bag. "this will do the trick." she said happily, handing out the tide pen for her. "i also have some wet-naps, if you'd rather use those." she mused, wanting to give her options.

mateo was pleasantly surprised when nix wanted to hang out. he couldn’t remember the last time he hung out with a friend because they planned it and not because he was going to meet with his exes friends. “hey nix!” mateo grinned, glancing over at the car, proud to know he’s helped his friend keep that baby going through the good and bad times. “i miss her too. don’t be a stranger, man. just hit me up and you know i’ll be over. i need something else to fix besides stupid washer #3.” that damn washer was going to be his thirteenth reason as to why he would march right into his mangers office and demand they begin upgrading sooner rather than later. “ah, man. things have been alright. broke up with clem, uh, well, she broke up with me. been on some spiritual journey ever since. i don’t know,” he shrugs, “quinn seems to think it will help.” it has but he still wasn’t sure what he was seeking. “how have you been, eh? saw you put yourself out there on tinder. got some promising things out of that or..?”

nix couldn't help but smile, knowing mateo was definitely a highlight for phoenix. the two had a lot in common, though nix wasn't quite as handy. "oh hell yeah man, let me know your days off and we'll for sure plan something!" he mused with a smile, chuckling at his washer comment. "i bet, sounds annoying." he mentioned, listening about his break up. shaking his head, he began thinking about her again. relationships were never really something nix felt like he had time for now, plus the trust to have another was too far for him to reach. he knew all too well how it felt, but he was sure mateo was stronger than that, to let it break him at least. like phoenix, let happen. "quinn sure is full of good ideas, so who am i to doubt him?" nix laughed, "how's it going though? the spiritual journey?" he raised a brow, curious if maybe this was something he should try out. if if could help mateo, maybe it could help him too? "oh yeah.. timder." he paused, a sigh escaping his lips. "i kind of made it to prove i wasn't a bitch, but then one day i actually used it.. i got a few matches, from people i.. didn't expect but in a good way i guess?" he tilted his head, he was still unsure on how to feel about the whole thing. "i don't know, it's not like any of it's real, right?" he questioned, almost like he was trying to convince himself it wasn't.
