Queer people deserve to make shitty art as much as anyone else, god damn it. We've been censored for so goddamn long and I'm tired of every piece of queer media needing to be the height of representation and art and quality.

Black kids deserve shitty poorly written books about black kids. Queer kids deserve shitty poorly written books about queer kids. Straight white kids have been reading shitty poorly written books for years now. Where is the trash for everyone else? The publishing industry has diversified immensely in the last five years, but it still tends to skew towards groundbreaking well written works of literature while a lot of the trash is still straight and white washed. I want mass market corporate author crap with trans kids on the cover.  I want flimsy mediocre literature for every race and religion.
